I am trying to be Latter-day Saint but I've got to admit I have it much easier than most of the people in the world, so I've got to question whether I deserve blessings or not.

I'm a believer and I try to keep the commandments, but other people have it much harder than me and it just seems they should get the blessings instead.Of course you do. Why would you not?

I thought the thinking in Christianity was that no one deserved "blessings". God gives those according to his own plan. Does LDS have a different view of this?
'blessings', are false gods.
So, no, if you think youre getting blessings, its some other god.
Jesus was very clear about this.

I don't know the LDS perspective... I haven't been LDS for 10 years.

There is an unlimited supply of blessings that God is just dying to pour down upon us if we but ask for them!! He loves all of His children so, so much and He wants you to feel it. Ask for a priesthood blessing ASAP but first pray to Heavenly Father asking if you should receive blessings and if He loves you. Then get your blessing and I promise the answer will be yes you should and you will have an overwhelming spirit of love fill you. Additionally think of questions for General Conference and listen this weekend with those questions in mind. I promise that He loves you more than anything and it doesn't matter what your challenges are in comparison to anyone else because all that matters to Him, is that it matters to YOU. You are His child. He Loves You. I GUARANTEE.I'm a believer and I try to keep the commandments, but other people have it much harder than me and it just seems they should get the blessings instead.
Yes, Yes, YES! Everyone deserves blessings!! God wants to pour blessings upon each one of us. Other Christian faiths may have that perspective, but in the Latter-Day Saints we believe that "men are that they might have joy." (2 Nephi 2:25) God loves us, for we are His children. Natural consequences will happen, yes. It is not divine intervention with every little thing, obviously. Most importantly, God doesn't want to destroy your agency - pouring blessings down when you haven't asked. So you've gotta ask! Pray! "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and ye shall find; knock, the door will be opened to you;" (Matthew 7:7)I thought the thinking in Christianity was that no one deserved "blessings".
