I don't get it. USA is all about democracy and freedom, and all against dictatorship etc.. Yet, the majority believes in a single God, which seems like the biggest dictator in the universe. Is this a paradox or what?

Are you proposing that america should be Pan-Theistic rather than Mono-theistic? As far as I can tell America is only Mono-theistic in concept, in behavior it's Pan-theistic ever watch a "reality" TV show, ever read Greek mythology?I don't get it. Christians believe that the US is a christian nation even though it is not. Christians want to take everything they can't have.I don't get it. There are some who I would label "Taliban-Christians" who want to turn the US into a theocracy in the same way that ISIS wants an Islamic theocratic state. There is no psychological difference between them although the laws would differIt's just when read the news or listen to podcasts, there's always some politician that's trying to pass some crazy Christian law. And then to get into politics, you must be a Christian, or you'll never get elected in anything..

Then how do you explain other poor but very religious countries?Consider that the biggest ditatorships are generally atheists states- USSR, North Korea, Communist China etc
Personal faith, in a higher power than politicians, = personal independence, a huge threat to socialism in general
