Do you care for others?

Do you really care about anything other than yourself?

More specific: do you care about bad people, total strangers you find disgusting, repulsive, troubled, irresponsible, people with lack of tolerance for others, negative about everyone with whom they live, people with excessive self-destructive behavior?
If you do, how do you express your care? Do you fool yourself to be a carrying person? How do you fool yourself ( I make some donations, I pray for them, I buy them something to eat...) ?

I do care. It is hard to keep up with my own mental and physical health issues to be patient with others. What is ironic is I find more "carring" out of me to strangers and the closer they know me, the less I feel connected. Like I ask my uncle, why dont our family care about each other, really. He said it runs in our family.

I teach adults English as their second language. I volunteer my time and I enjoy it. They are working towards citizenship, and its nice to see them with their certificates so they can go to the next class level.

I live in a residential community and I work here; so carring comes with the job. Since I get paid it seems like my carrying is only worth the money I get. If we didnt need money, I would never have it.

I listen mostly. Try to be helpful. People are surprised I like my job and it gets fustrating. Prayer isnt a light thing. I pray to the spirits that everyone (individual people) are safe and so forth.

I see my prayers "answered" for lack of better words every day. I care by talking with people who differ in morals. I talked with a JW a lot (couple years ago). I told her about my faith and a smidgt about my practices. Interfaith dialogue is respectful. Lets the other person know you value them. Thats carring.

I have trouble with concentration so its hard to keep up with a long conversation. So, I care for myself too. I have too. I cant help someone who is having a seizure while I have one too.

Sometimes we do need to care for ourselves. Its a balance not one or the other.

I care about others and always offer to help in anyway I can. You never know their situation, if they push me away then. I stay away. Always help someone, you may be the only one who cares/helps.

From time to time I think of WWII. About 1,700 Jews survived in Berlin, and an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 non-Jewish Germans actively hid them, putting there's life and there's family member's life in real danger.
Anything we could compare that is happening in our-days?

Would you in any case cross the line and be more aggressive to do something not so convectional or acceptable? Risk you being criticizing as irrational, or even do something illegal?

That is where the Hindu concept of Reincarnation works for me - it says if you care, come back, make a difference

It is amazing that so many fall for the easy life of heaven - a selfish view - where only they get to enjoy the good life, leave all the problems of earth behind. In heaven they say there is no pain or suffering - so basically God sits in a far-away land with his back turned to pain and suffering? And that is what everyone wants to do

Yes, for you bound for heaven, there will be no more pain or suffering, but that does not mean pain and suffering has stopped for everyone. Let's say you are working at a dog shelter, taking care of dogs - if you die, does that mean all dog suffering has stopped? of course not, you just chose to stop it for you

A grandpa dies - later his son or daughter lose their job, have to move into a homeless shelter - his grandchild goes to bed hungry while the grandpa is enjoying cake in heaven?

A guy travelling with his family dies in a crash. His family is in the hospital fighting for their lives - while he forgets about them and is partying up in heaven? Even after surviving and getting over their injuries, the family has to worry and fight the hospital bills, loss of income, pain of the loss of loved ones, and then figure out how to make something out of their lives - but the dead father in heaven cares no more?

Anyway you slice it, Heaven comes across as an incredibly selfish place

Yes I am afraid I do.

Try to help them and not lose it with them.

I wish I was uncaring, it would make my life a lot easier.
