So, a question all, should women be included in a military draft in your opinion? Why? or Why not?

My opinion is yes they should because to exclude them would be sexist.

I don't agree with a military draft at all.

I believe that any service to a country should be voluntary - whether you're male or female.

I agree with countries that make a term of military service mandatory for all citizens.

We could make additional military cut backs and still have sufficient enough military to defend the US.

Can't help but to think of Vietnam - a fruitless war - and the fear instilled upon young men throughout the US and the lives lost.

No, I saw it on the History Channel in a documentary about the end of the world.

That would make about one in seven Chinese people military personnel. You don't grow your economy Chinese style that way.
More likely it was the number of military age people in population.

Personally, I think the USA created Saddam Hussein and owed the world getting rid of him. But that doesn't make any of it OK.

We didn't impose a draft with the first US-Iraq war.

And? Are we currently at war with either? It's one thing to say "oh, you guys technically shouldn't be so close, it doesn't look good" and actually being at war with a country and at high alert watching every movement they make and making counter moves the whole time.

That's not quite right though, especially in a country which values personal freedom. Just because someone had the certain "luck" to be born in a particular country does not mean that they should have to defend or wage war for said country. Plus, conscientious objector kind of goes right out the window doesn't it? Service should remain voluntary.

Yes, in a melting pot it would be one way, and in a country that isn't a melting pot I think it would be different.

History Channel is authoritative enough for me...they actually consult historians and scholarly people for their projects. I trust them saying that China has a 200,000,000 man army.

Are you aware of what the Book of Revelation in the Bible says about a 200,000,000 man army?

However, fact is, China's military is nowhere near that size. It really isn't. I already posted accurate numbers for their military. Yep and yep and yeah, their active duty is in the 2 million range. They have almost that much as reserves though too that's why I said if they were added together. Either way, it isn't anywhere close to 200mil.
