Well, I guess it's a matter of opinion, isn't it? I am quite grateful for my sound mental health and would not even consider trading it for insanity. I'm curious as to why you have read my post to mean that the sane are forfeiting eternal bliss just for having been blessed to be sane during mortality, as I certainly said nothing I can think of that would imply that.

Something tells me you just enjoy a good argument, and will say whatever it takes to instigate one. Am I right, viole?

I am not sure it is a matter of opinion. I am doing a pretty cold risk assessment here. And I am not saying that the sane forfeit eternal bliss. Quite the contrary. i think the insane is the one with an edge when it comes to final judgement. As you seem to confirm.

So, suppose that you have a choice. To be born mentally sane or not. Considering the risks of being mentally sane (e.g. Rejecting God, believing in an other one, being accountable for what you decide, etc), what would you choose, when eternal bliss is at stake?

Well, if the situation were actually as you have described it, I'd choose insanity. It's not, though. I believe that every person who has ever lived has the same expectation of eternal bliss as anyone else. Of course, I'm seeing the question from my worldview and spiritual background, and you're not. It's simply more involved than your two options would imply.

Are Catholic and Christian the same, of are thy different?View attachment 9415
A Christian is one who lives as Jesus lived. Jesus obeyed the Father in Heaven. Jesus did not sin. Now tell me who is Christian? Do Catholics sin? Do Protestants sin? If one sins he or she are of the devil, and the devil is not a Christian.

(1 John 2:6) “But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did”

(1 John 3: 5 - 6) “Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him.”

(1 John 3:7-8) “My children, do not let anyone lead you astray to live a holy life is to be holy just as he is holy; to lead a sinful life is to belong to the devil, since the devil was a sinner from the beginning.

Everyone sins. Therefore, by your definition, no one can be Christian, rendering the whole NT useless.

(1 John 3:9-10) “No one who has been begotten by God sins; because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God. In this way we distinguish the children of God from the children of the devil: anybody not living a holy life and not loving his brother is no child of God’s”

Forgive me, please, if I'm misinterpreting you, but it sounds like you're saying you are without sin. Is that really what you believe?

So you believe that your understanding of what Paul wrote makes what John said wrong?

Yes everyone has sinned, but Jesus came to defeat Satan/sin, and he did not fail. Jesus made it possible for us to never sin again.

(1 John 3:7-8) “My children, do not let anyone lead you astray to live a holy life is to be holy just as he is holy; to lead a sinful life is to belong to the devil, since the devil was a sinner from the beginning.”

Everyone falls short. Jesus came to put human sin (a state -- not an act) in remission. Everyone sins (puts themselves into a state apart from God), but through grace, God reconciles us.

Do you understand what the word "holy" means?

I personally believe that a Christian knows that their bible is the written Word of God. A Christian will not ignore God’s Word in order to believe someone else’s beliefs about God.

The bible tells us a Child of God’s can’t sin. Yet those who are being led by the devil and not the Holy Spirit will say that a person can’t stop sinning.

(1 John 3:9-10) “No one who has been begotten by God sins; because God’s seed remains inside him, he cannot sin when he has been begotten by God. In this way we distinguish the children of God from the children of the devil: anybody not living a holy life and not loving his brother is no child of God’s”

The reason Jesus came was to defeat Satan/sin, and those who are being led by Satan continue to sin, and in this way say Jesus failed to do what he came here to do.

(1 John 3: 5 - 6) “Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him.”

The following scripture tells us what it means to be Holy.

(1 John 2:6) “But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did”

What you "personally believe" has no bearing on the rest of the world.
A Christian will not ignore God’s Word in order to believe someone else’s beliefs about God.
Here's your fallacy. The bible isn't "the written word of God." It is the "written words of God's people."
The bible tells us a Child of God’s can’t sin.
The bible tells us all children of God do sin.
Jesus did mend the separation of sin. Jesus has reconciled us. Now we just need to start acting like it.
The following scripture tells us what it means to be Holy.
No it doesn't. Give me a definition. What does the word "holy" mean?

You are wrong! The Christian Bible is God’s written Word. The Holy Spirit had man put what God wanted us to read into God’s bible.

Read what scripture says about Children of God.

(1 John 3: 5 - 6) “Now you know that He appeared in order to abolish sin, and that in Him there is no sin; anyone who lives in God does not sin, and anyone who sins has never seen Him or known Him.”

One who commits sin does not know God, and that is scripture.

(1 John 3:7-8) “My children, do not let anyone lead you astray to live a holy life is to be holy just as he is holy; to lead a sinful life is to belong to the devil, since the devil was a sinner from the beginning.”

Yeah, but you think the scriptures are the words of God, so your rather arbitrary interpretation of something whose nature you do not recognize means nothing to me.

Yes and I will not feel sorry for you when you try to argue your way into heaven using that evil logic, and fail.

Jesus told me that the Christian Bible is God’s written Word, and the Catholic Church teaches that also. The Church does ignore much of God’s Words, and teaches a different gospel than what the apostles taught, that is why it is condemned.

(Galatians 1:7-8) “Not that there can be more than one Good News; it is merely that some troublemakers among you want to change the Good News of Christ; and let me warn you that if anyone preaches a version of the Good News different from the one you have already heard, he is to be condemned.”

Yes, I'm certain you won't show the compassion of Christ to your fellow human beings who don't live up to your expectations. Thanks for the "righteous" judgment.

Jesus told me that it isn't. Now what do we do?
If you still sin it was not Jesus speaking to you.

(1 John 3:7-8) “My children, do not let anyone lead you astray to live a holy life is to be holy just as he is holy; to lead a sinful life is to belong to the devil, since the devil was a sinner from the beginning.”

You (like everyone else) still sin. Guess it wasn't Jesus talking to you...
