A lie believed will spoil truth believed in the same mind.

A lie dwelling with the truth is a bad association. Is that not a fact?

You all are saying God has not warned us about it. I don't believe you.

Proverbs 12:22
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

1 John 2:4
Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him

Psalm 101:7
No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.

Revelation 22:15
Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Psalm 120:2
Save me, LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

Proverbs 17:7
Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool-- how much worse lying lips to a ruler!

Psalm 31:18
Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against what is right.

Proverbs 24:7
Wisdom is too high for fools; in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths.

I'm late on this one. If you "hang around" with people who might cause you to do things that you would find wrong, then maybe you should rethink hanging around them. That is all it means, in my view.
Thanks! I am not saying it isn't true. I am saying 1 Cor 15:33 is about something else.

Where is the Bible warning about being careful of what you think about?
1 Cor 15:33 is my opinion.

A little leaven ferments the whole batch and bad associations spoil useful habits. What did Jesus say leaven is? PEOPLE? No! He said it is the teaching of the Pharisees.

It's the same thing. Jesu was around disciples, and people who listened to him, not people who were ''bad''.
What are you saying? What is the same thing? Are you saying that in the crowd that Jesus taught there were no bad people?

Did you see what I wrote "leaven is the teaching of the Pharisees"?

Is the teaching of the Pharisees people or is in wrong information? Is wrong information people?

I got to wonder..........

People carry information.

People is to bucket as information is to water. OK?

Can we have water without a bucket? My troll is getting too boisterous. I think I should call it a night.

Bad associations meaning people suggests that it is their spirit that causes a spoiling. Can their spirit cause a spoiling?

Isn't it their opinion which causes a spoiling? An opinion must be spoken or acted out. Correct?

The scripture implies it is their speech which causes spoiling.

Speech is opinion. Correct?

Are you with me?

So it is bad opinion which spoils character. Correct?

Can a "good" person harbor a bad opinion? Yes or no?

Can the bad opinion of Good People cause anything?

I believe the quote is not from the woman having an issue of blood but is from the woman caught in adultery which would have meant that she was a sinful person. The quote from the woman with the issue of blood is:
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
I believe Jesus would not have viewed a health problem as a sin problem unless there was sin causing the health problem and no indication is given to that affect. The issue of impurity for entering the temple does not arise because it is not in the context.
@yaddoe Looks like I had my passages crossed on this one.

Muffled

Jesus in me
What is the difference between "having Jesus as Lord and Saviour" and being wise?

My wife understands that it is unwise for her to smoke but she smokes anyway. She has not asked Jesus to save her from this. My brother-in-law is less wise but was strong armed by the JW's to quit and knowing he did not have the power in hemself to do so called upon the Holy Spirit to help him. My wife still smokes and my brother-in-law does not.

That reminds me of when I was doing jail ministry and someone would call for me my daughter would reply that I was in jail, lol. I managed to be a light to those in darkness as much as I could and sustained my faith but I wouldn't suggest it for someone weak in their faith.
