Because Jesus is the 'Lord', the Master, whom the servants are waiting upon.

OK. Please explain it. Jesus is servant to God the Father, the Real Master. Why do you think The Father is not master?

Why did Jessu say to the devil "it is God you must worship and serve him alone"? Matthew 4:10

Jesus said that in 'man form', when He was partially separated from 'The Father', however Xians worship Jesus as God, as the Master, that is who the verses are referring to.

/Some call this the trinity/

The servant is the faithful disciple.

Why does Jesus make the faithful disciple like him?

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?

WHO? Jesus many times asked the question about himself.

Faithful. It is my opinion there has been and will be only one faithFUL person on earth. We call him Jesus.

Wise (or discreet as the Jehovah's Witnesses call it).......Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
wise
From phren; thoughtful, i.e. Sagacious or discreet (implying a cautious character; while sophos denotes practical skill or acumen; and sunetos indicates rather intelligence or mental acquirement); in a bad sense conceited (also in the comparative) -- wise(-r).

This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. Matthew 13:13

A master
Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" Matt 4:10
"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." Luke 22:42

has put in charge of the servants I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. John 17:6
For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. John 17:2

to give them their food Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. John 6:32
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Matthew 26:26

at the proper time Therefore Jesus told them, "My time is not yet here; for you any time will do.
"Woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come." John 2:4
"He will bring those wretches to a wretched end," they replied, "and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time."

Who knows the proper time for things?

the servant refers to the faithful disciple -- the church, which embodies Jesus.

Jesus receives people of faith from The Father. (the scripture is there) Then does he pass them to the church? Why?

I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. John 17:6

You can't exegete one text with a completely different text. John post-dates Matthew, and came out of a completely different community.

So Jesus is not about continuity according to you. Even though the command says "you must be holy becasue I am holy".

This doesn't have anything to do with apologetics. It has to do with exegesis. Each text has to be critically studied on its own merits. In this particular case, John doesn't illuminate Matthew. Its just that simple.

So Jesus didn't really say "will I find the faith on the earth" or "I will appoint a servant over my people".

Why isn't the faithful and wise servant of Matthew 24:45 Jesus?

This is immediately following the Olivet Discourse in which Jesus describes the future coming of the Son of Man.

Matthew 24

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The faithful and wise servant cannot be Jesus because Jesus is the Son of Man who will return unexpectedly. The faithful and wise servant (as opposed to the wicked servant of v 48) is the one who does what he ought to be doing while the master is away. The good servant will be rewarded; the bad one will be treated very harshly.

This is a lead in to the two parables and one prophecy of Matthew 25.

The five wise virgins had enough lamp oil to greet the bridegroom who has been delayed. The five foolish ones did not. The wise virgins were prepared to meet the bridegroom when he arrived and were brought into the wedding feast. The five foolish ones were locked out. So be prepared when the Son of Man finally appears.

Three servants were entrusted with their master’s gold while he went away. Two of them invested the gold and made a profit. One did not and had no more to show than what he started with. The two who took action were rewarded. The other was punished. Don’t just wait around for the Son of Man. Do something good in the meantime.

The story of the Sheep and the Goats is not a parable but a prophecy of what the Son of Man will do for those who took correct action (reward them) and do to those who failed to do so (punish them). What is the specific action that is required? Charitable works.

So: Be prepared for the Son of Man. How? Do good things. Exactly what? Charitable works.

Note the foreshadowing of this conclusion back in Matthew 24:45. The faithful and wise servant is to “give them their food at the proper time”, that is, to attend to the material needs of those dependent on him. And “It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns”.

And back in Matthew 19 when the man asked Jesus how to get eternal life, Jesus tells him to follow the action oriented commands of the Decalogue. But then he adds “and love your neighbor as yourself”, a reference to God’s command from Leviticus 19.

I do not believe Jesus went away. If he did go away then what does Matthew 28:20 mean?

The Lord God went away when the house of Israel was abandoned but The Lord God untrusted all God's belongings to the son who acts as intermediary. Are you all saying all those seeking YHVH have had no intermediary all this time?

Also "food at the proper time" is linked to the bread from heaven. It is spiritual. It is not material. Is GOD not able to cloth you as the lillies of the field are clothed. But you are teaching it is not GOD who cares for our material needs. It is the people who will be "rewarded" who do it. "Put first the kingdom and all other things will be added". Will the faith really be found?

The whole, entire thrust of Matthew is "who is the true Israel?" His answer is that the faithful community of Jesus' disciples are the "true Israel." He takes a highly inclusive and hospitable approach in describing the "kingdom of God." The wheat and tares, the sheep and goats, the faithful and unfaithful servants -- all are examples that Matthew uses in order to show that the judgement of who is acceptable or not is not up to us -- it's up to God. OUR job is to include everyone, and God will sort the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares at the appropriate time. The good servant, therefore, is the servant who feeds those who need to eat -- who welcomes and includes all -- without regard for when the Master will return.

OK. I do not disagree with any of that. Eat what though? Is it physical according to you or is it spiritual? And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19 Is the faithful servant in charge of feeding the household physical food? Ridiculous! Isn't it? If the faithful church members are in charge of feeding the members of God's household why does Jesus send a "helper to be with you always"? And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- John 14:16 Does the advocate picture influencial men of the church?

I think it can reasonably be taken either way -- or both ways, but I advocate for physical food over both, because, for 1st century people, food was at a premium. For them, being fed was not only an act of hospitality, but a literal act of salvation. Therefore, food was a ready symbol for salvation (as in the eucharist). Remember, when Jesus appeared to his disciples following the crucifixion, they were gathered eating a meal, and Jesus asked, "Do you have anything to eat?"
Physical food.

Seems to me, it also was because Jesus was "real" after the resurrection, not a 'spirit' or apparition.
