It is when he is invisible and your actual family miss you. :yes:Prayer is spending time with God. Do you consider spending time with the ones you love a waste of time?

The Bible tells us: “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” (James 4:8) One of the principal ways to draw close to God is through prayer. we should not underestimate its value! The Bible makes this comforting promise: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.”Think about this. many have found it helpful to talk about their feelings with a trusted friend. Would it not be even more helpful to pour out your feelings to the God who promises to comfort our hearts? even if God knows everything about us,is it not better to talk personally to him and show that we rely on him and want his friendly guidance?
Nope. I prefer to talk with someone who can talk back. Besides, god already knows how you feel and how you will feel. It already knows about the divorce you've just had, or the breakup, or the car crash. It allowed those things to happen (according to christian mythology in that everything happens according to its will).
So why draw comfort in being able to talk to it about this or that when it allowed this or that to happen in the first place? It's vicarious nonsense.
