**Muslims Only**Dear Muslims, I have a question.

"Deny" it almost sounds like a crime whenever someone says he rejects Bukhari. Well there is several Hadeeth which portray the prophet in a rather negative light and seem contradictory to the Qur'an. Sahih in our opinion is merely the Quran.

BTW I do NOT WISH to debate this on here, it's the wrong place and thread imho.

yes you are right, this is not the right place to discuss that, but i just want to say, maybe you who misunderstand this hadeeth, at least you can reject these hadiths only not the whole book

Lets wait for his evidence :D I'm very curious, I wonder if he's going to post the ayaatein of Surah an-Noor with the inserted explanation of scholars in brackets "(draw veil around their face)" :p

O I would like to add, I'm a Shia Muslim, so if you bring me any of the Bukhari Hadeeth which are considered "sahih" I won't accept them anyways.

find that link, it discuss is niqab is fard or not in an honest way, and it mentiones the proof sof the two streams FARZ or not

you can study them and see what make sense with you?

I hope that's not true. There are just too many things wrong with this.

can you please point it out, apart from saying "its not true" or what so ever.

Ssainhu you didn't answer my question aswell :

can you identify what you mean by "muslim"?

someone who follows all the teaching of the prophet (saw), the quran, hadith and the sunnah?

and to confused kuri, could you please tell me which "saheeh" hadith in bukhari shows the prophet (saw) in negative light?

It's not important for me to tell you what I mean mean by "muslim".
I submit to Allah as the One and Only God...and that makes me Muslim.

...and we wonder why we're so divided. This feels like high school.

Salaam Alaikum,

This is a really big mess of a thread. I think if you are going to make a claim you should back up that claim with sources. I have yet to see any.

To brother Woodrow regarding the beard here are some links I hope you will find helpful and relevant

exactly, being a muslim means to submit to Allah (swt). So in the end following the teachings of the prophet (saw) which comes from through the quran and hadith.

I somewhere read that you were disagreeing about Hijab.

Now I am not going to copy from site, but I will make it clear for you.

Lets look upon the word Hijab which means in arabic : curtain or cover (noun)

if you would read this : Islam Question and Answer - Ruling on covering the face, with detailed evidence

this will tell you why Hijab is needed in islam.

Regarding Niqaab again I repeat there are scholary difference in opinion.

The Qur'an does NOT specify the details of hijab. The fact that women covered their hair already (pre-Islam) means that it was a cultural thing to do, not religious. Allah is not vague, He is very clear. If he demanded that every hair on a woman's head has to be covered, He would have said so in the Qur'an. Period. I'm not going to address the Hadith.

I never said I disagree with others wearing it, I choose to not wear it. I'm all for everyone's right to wear whatever they feel brings them closer to God...so afford me the same rights and please stop trying to convince me what I've studied for YEARS. I'm so sick and tired of our beautiful religion being minimized to wardrobe and face-coverings. Will it ever stop??? Can we PLEASE move on to more important topics?

All this page provides is arguments for and against the necessity of niqab. I must be missing the point somehow...

yes you are right, the honesty of delivering information to others make me have to mention both of the mainstream evidences, i have to mention the evidences of both sides point of view and woman's mind is to choose what makes sense with her based on the evidences not the desires and so i'll not be an honest man if i mention only the proofs that said Niqab is obligation

can you tell me where does in the quran it specify how to pray salah? how many times do we pray?

can you tell me in quran how to do ghusl? how to do wudhu?

can you tell me in quran (without looking at the hadith) where is ayatul kursi?

can you tell me in quran which surah to recite when you start your salah?

sooo much more.

I am simply making it easy for you,

do you even agree with hadith or not? :sarcastic

you seem to be dodging these stuff, instead of answering it.

answer it, =]

if you can't then come to me so that I can explain you why Hijab is in islam.

Its about understanding what you study, not study for "YEARS" without understanding.

I didn't say its not true, i said i hope its not, because its a ridiculous story.

If you meant you want me to emphasize why i hope its not true, here's why:

1) He's 'making fun' of people not keeping beards, which in itself whether beards are obligatory, sunnah or just a custom, is wrong. I would expect the senior shaykh of el Masjid al Haram to know that.

2) He says (according to your story) that the person who shaves his beard is committing a major sin. So, its not only an obligation or requirement, that if you didn't mean you'd be a sinner, but he's adding that its actually one of the most important things in Islam, since if you don't comply to it, you'd be doing a major sin. (All of which is unsupported to put it lightly)

3) He said a person who shaves their beard is a fasiq, which again like the last point, indicates that he's not just saying that this is a part of the religion, or not sunnah but obligatory, no, he's saying its extremely important. Its so important that if you don't do it, you'd be a terrible person.

This shows that shaykh in a terrible light for me, which is something i'm not happy about, since he's the senior shaykh (according to you) in al Masjid al Haram. Which is why i hope the story is not true.

do you have a doubt about that too ?

Its not "doubt", no such thing was ever established in the first place. Had all or most scholars agreed on this, you might have had a point, however its a controversial issue to begin with.
