The theory that the Earth is 4.5 billion years old is not reliable. The list of the ancestors of Jesus is short enough to fit into a book. therefore those scientists better do some reconsidering.

You're right. Science is stupid and useless. Why use these computers when we could just, umm, pray really hard in each other's general direction? And another thing--those silly scientists with their "round earth" theory--the shape of the earth is clearly described in the Bible; it's flat, and the sun rotates around it. Those scientists better do some reconsidering. As for disease--don't get me started!

Historians have read Egyptian hieroglyphics and there is recorded histoty of Moses.

Really. Can you provide us with a citation from any archeological publication--that is, not a Christian propaganda site--in support of this idiocy?

Oh, just read storms above message. If your just going to come on here and make bold assertions, please do some research first.
If you study the Egyption Empire you will read about Isrealie slavery and you will read about the same thing in the Bible. So why is it that they go perfectly together and yes there is recorded history of Moses.

Ok When studeing the Egyptian Empire there is mention of King Ramsess ii and Nefertity is there not? Nefertity found Moses in a river and raised him with Ramsess II did she not?

I watched this television show where Benjamin Franklin, captured by pirates and held aboard their vessel, was saved by a submarine that bored through the hull. Upon his release he said "Let's make like shuffleboard players and get the puck out of here."
Just because actual historical figures might appear in works of fiction doesn't make the fiction fact.

Actually, the problem is that there is no record whatsoever in Egyptian history of the Israelites being enslaved there.

Do you know what the word "citation" means? It means we don't know you. You're an anonymous voice on the internet. So, if you want us to believe this, provide another source, such as a scholarly article or book by a reputable archeologist or historian specializing in the Ancient Near East--not a Christian propaganda cite. Show us where the Egyptians recorded Queen Nefertiti finding Moses in a river. Or, to answer your question, no, she did not.

Go to Wikipedia and search Ramsess II.

No, JJM, in the world of the internet it's YOUR job to support your assertions, not your readers. btw, here's the wiki article--here's what it says on the subject:

At least as early as Eusebius of Caesarea,[7] Ramesses II was identified with the pharaoh of whom the Biblical figure Moses demanded his people be released from slavery.
This identification has often been disputed, though the evidence for another solution is likewise inconclusive as critics point out that Ramesses II was not drowned in the Sea. The primary Exodus account itself makes no specific claim that the pharaoh was with his army when they were "swept ... into the sea";[62] only Psalm 136 implies this.[63][64]
Critics of the theory also emphasize that there is nothing in the archaeological records from the time of Ramesses' reign to confirm the existence of the Plagues of Egypt.
Is that your supposed support?

JJM: I don't want to be too hard on you. Are you maybe very young? Because you don't seem to know very much.

JJ son, seriously. If you want to believe the earth is 10K yrs old and that Moses came down off some mountain with some stone tablets in his hand - believe it! Nobody cares, least of all me.

But show some particle of honesty and some small bit of self-respect and simply SAY SO.

You are proving yourself BOTH ignorant AND dishonest with his line of argument.

IF you have evidence post it!

IF you have a source - cite it!

But to just post bald unsupported assertions only makes you a . . .never mind. I have 2 infractions today already.
