Qura'an ch.21 (prohets)

[30] Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

this verese goes with big bang theory.....

[31] And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with them, and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive guidance.

this verse talking about the fact that mountains protect the earth from vibration(shaking) during it's rotation....

[32] And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)!

this verse talk about O-zone layer (canopy) which protect earth from harmfull rays...

and there are more scientific facts in Quara'n

Muslims believe in One God , Which all creatures need him , he didn't begots neither had been begotten and no one is greater than him.

No incarnation , no Icons needed to imagine God, because he is not similar to any thing of his creatures.

Basically, say I believe in something! How on earth am I supposed to decide what in fact is right and what the "something" wanted us to believe from the beginning! I would like that "something" to actually make a big statement to me!!! :)
Our Heavenly Father whispers to every human heart and mind and testifies very quietly and softly the truths of all things.

I am LDS, I don't know if you remember me but I remember you and that you were baptized on 7/7/7, which was a VERY special date.

Our Heavenly Father has a plan for you, find out what it is.

In the mean time, watch LDS General Conference, which is going on right now.

If you have high speed, click on the link on this page The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Click on the "General Conference" link). If you miss it, you can always click on the "talks" later.

I'll post a direct link later.

I pay tithes (10 percent) and offerings (about 1 percent) of all I make and I wear LDS garments. I am divinely protected from harm and I prosper in whatever I do. I have more money than I need, WAY beyond what I need. I only make 8 dollars an hour and with overtime I make about 10 dollars (I work a total of 78 hours a week) and I am able to save over 20 thousand a year.

God has richly blessed me beyond what I had hoped. I dropped out of college, so I didn't think I'ld ever have money, but God can take nothing and make something out of it.

Let him do that with you, but you have to do what is required, you have to do your part, but God will never force anyone to do things his way, that is contrary to his ways. it's always up to us to follow him.

I don't currently attend any LDS meetings or any other religious meetings.

I'm working 7 days a week now, but I still pay tithes and offerings to the LDS church and still wear my LDS garments. I will never compromise on those two VERY important things.

I noticed you mentioned these two things, tithes and garments, these are THE most important things to me, which allow me to prosper and be protected from harm and evil.

I have tried to live without these two things and I got myself into financial and physical trouble. I took my garments off one day and was traveling to work and someone hit me on my motorcycle and I was out of work for a year, I had also stopped paying my tithing. I had enough money to live on that year, but it quickly was draining and I decided THEN never to take my garments off, except to shower of course, and to never not pay my tithing. As soon as I decided to do these two things, my life quickly turned around and I also decided to pay 1 perent to the LDS church as an "offering" unto the Lord and it was at that time that my life quickly and drammatically changed to the point where I'm at now. I'm saving over 20,000 a year. I've never been able to save that much before. God has richly blessed me for obeying these important principles.

Tithes
Offerings
Garments on night and day

D&C 64: 23
Behold, now it is called today until the coming of the Son of Man, and verily it is a day of sacrifice, and a day for the tithing of my people; for he that is tithed shall not be burned at his coming.

Thanks for that by the way! At this point in time I was only joking about my own religion! :D The other issue is I cant seem to get my own experience of the divine. I make lots of phone calls and nobody answers :(
God has plainly shown us what we should do, through Christ's example, which has been plainly recorded in the Bible and in other LDS scriptures, but we are stubborn humans and sometimes refuse to listen or do things God's way, which is the way that will bring us pure happiness, nothing else will.

Satan's ways are very destructive to one's own life, however small a degree one may be following his constant lies whispered to our hearts and minds.

I have tried Satan's ways and it always quickly leads to my own demise.

God's ways are infinitely easier and very prosperous, Satan's ways are hard and destructive, especially to one's own bank account and one's own physical and spiritual well being.

Hey FFH! Of course I remember you! I remember all my LDS friends on here! Yes I remember 7/7/7 was a very special day, I also remember the joy I felt that day! (wish I could feel it again!). I don't know whether you remember me saying but I was also 21 the time I was baptised and 7+7+7 = 21. Thanks for your post, they always make me feel so much better just reading them! :).
I wish I could easily accept those principles. I guess it is my being greedy and I find it difficult to change 22years of habit! (escpecially with my parents breathing down my neck that it is wrong!). It sounds selfish, but things like holidays - I am so used to wearing strap tops and bikinis! I can only hope that if there is indeed a God he will be guide me to make the right decision!

Le plongeur avec attitude...
Yes Hes strict and He is not relaxed but it is not that hard if you let Him lead your life.
On this I disagree... it is for Freedom that God has set us free.

Too often, Christianity has been characterized by the need for any number of external controls and this is wrong.

All you need is love!

When i say strict im saying He is uncompromising from the set rules or commands He made. He is the same always.

Some want to bend or twist His commands to fit their lifestyle or beliefs i.e. homosexuality, hell doctrine, tithing, having free will, sabbath keeping, etc etc. God doesnt compromise.

And when God actually choses you and gives you the spiritual eyes and ears to see what is the actual freedom that is Christ, then you will know what freedom actually is.

Its the freedom to obey him. Its liberating.

Will to love
My biggest concern is death! I am terrified of it and would hate to end up wrong about religion and spend eternity in hell....:(

Does that make any sense????

It's not light reading, but I would suggest Paul Tillich's The Courage to Be. He nicely addresses the existential angst you seem to experience.

In the meanwhile, remember that the words Jesus said most often are "Fear not, I am with you."

Micah 6 said:
8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

One more from Paul!

Paul to the Romans said:
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Wow, 21, I forgot that part.

I know it's hard to wear garments IN THIS LIFE, but really is it that much of a sacrafice, in order to keep physically and spiritually safe from Satan's harm.

Satan is jealous of us, because we have physical bodies and a chance at becoming like God and enjoying what he enjoys. It's all worth it, keep looking forward to the prize, which is eternal life with God, our families and friends (those who obey God's principles and perform his holy ordinances found in the LDS faith).

My wife was the first person to join the LDS faith/church in her family. Her mother joined a year later and her father had already passed away, she has one brother and he has not joined, as have any of her extended family, but we've done all their temple work of those who have passed on.

No its not the freedom to obey Him, those who obey are given that gift from God and they did not do it on their own otherwise they could boast and their free will could shatter Gods plan and then God would have to readjust again for that person and then readjust what He was doing with this other person because what that guy was doing was connected with the that person, to make sure His plan is still going to be fufilled but in doing that then He'll have to readjust another person and another another and another etc etc. You see how that spirals out of control if anyone had in their own ability to do anything without God.

Those things which are found in the Bible and in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, which is only found in the LDS faith. The Lord has spoken to us in the Bible and in LDS scripture, what is required of us is plainly written there.

Tithes and offerings are among the most important.

Of course we need to keep ALL the commandments, but tithes and offerings seem to be the commandments that take our selfish desires off of ourselves and onto God, WHO WILL PROSPER US EXCEEDINGLY, if we obey this commandment.

You can't give to God without getting a HUGE return.

It doesn't work as well if you just pay a tithe of ten percent, which will keeps you out of debt, but you won't prosper as much until you give an offering unto the Lord above and beyond the tithe. I've chosen to do 1 percent above my tithe and it's working for me. If I had enough faith I might do more, but I don't right now I guess, but I know if I did I would be blessed beyond what I give, because I'm already swamped with work offered to me and I am able to save about 1800 dollars a month or more, you'll have to convert that to English pounds.

Even a half of a percent above and beyond the tithe will help prosper anyone who tries it.

I'm not at all hurting for money.

One strange benefit of paying tithes and offerings is that many people in my life that harassed me in the past, when I wasn't paying tithes and offerings, seemed to strangely disappear from my life, it was weird. Remember just paying tithes won't work as well as when it's accompanied with an offering.

Try it for a few months and see what happens.

This is the main tithe and offering scripture. Click on it and read it in it's entirety.

Mal. 3: 11
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

3 Ne. 24: 11
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the fields, saith the Lord of Hosts.
