The US intelligence community needs to do its job for once and kill him and all his friends.

I hope that they are following the flow of tapes and have spies at Al JazzzzzzzzzzzzzEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAA. Then fly an unmanned drone into his cave with his goats(I doubt he has many women;)) and turn the temprature of that cave hotter than the surface of the sun:angel2:

Killing him will only make a martyr out of him and the situation will get worse.Whatever we do to him the seeds are sown.

I'll second that emotion... Daddy.

It would be a sort of redemption for the mistakes that lead to 9-11 in the first place. As it is, it seems like the intelligence community has learned nothing.

If so, go and put his head on a spike.

There was a teacher in Lebanon (I think?) whose class decided to name the class teddy bear "Mohammed" (after one of the students in the classroom). She ended up having to be deported out of the country to escape an angry mob demanding her death... Yikes.

Not necessarily. It depends on public awareness. If there is a general consensus in the Arab world that al-Qaeda is a menace, then his death would be celebrated.

Considering that bin Laden is one of the major keys to al-Qaeda's income (he owns a HUMONGOUS construction corporation), killing him would be like cutting off the head. Though, I must agree that it is possible that another might grow back, but I don't know who that would be since we've captured or killed so many of his higher-ups.

I think there was probably once a person called Bin Laden working for the US against the USSR in Afghanistan. Just as the IRA used to use the name of a dead operative for money payments, Mossad has used this name to cover its operations since then - and the US is happy to accept this bogey to justify its oil-battles, however irrelevantly.

She was also imprisoned for 15 days, and escaped a punishment of 40 lashes..
