There are old oldest cities - which are yours?

Cities with red names were founded prior to the establishment of the Bosnian Church, and Bosnia as an independent country.

Cities with blue names were founded during the reign of the independent, heretical Bosnian Church.

Cities with green names were founded during the reign of the Islamic, Osmanli Empire.

Cities with black names were founded during the communist era.

It's important to note that all of these cities have much older settlements nearby. For example, Sarajevo is listed as having been founded in 1428 - but there was a city (Imunisipia) nearby during the Roman Empire, and another (VrhBosna) during the reign of the Bosnian Church. Both of these ancient cities are now within the city limits of Sarajevo, but the root village (Sarajovasi) that became the city was not founded until 1428 - that's what these dates mean.

Something else that might be interesting. Most of those who converted to Islam here were members of the Bosnian Church, Roman Catholics tended to retain their faith. Here I've changed to green the cities that converted en masse to Islam...

Many of them predate the establishment of the United States; some could be said to predate the "discovery" of the Americas..........

The oldest recorded city in England is Colchester in Essex. This was the Roman capital prior to them moving to London (Londinium). That makes it about two thousand years old, but it was probably an ancient Britton town for a long time before that.
