Wrath Meets Love​

Woe unto you who I hold so dear
How I long to hold you and have you near
But because you sinned you fell from grace
You caused me to turn and hide my face
I yearn for you beloved one
But Divine justice must be done
For the soul that sins; it must die
My wrath it must be satisfied
So how do I save my beloved one?
The answer lies with Christ my Son
Who I’ll send to take sin on Himself
Redemption will cost me all my wealth
To satiate my vengeful ire
And save man from eternal fire
My Son will do it willingly
He’ll bring my darling back to me
And become the object of my rage
So that man might once again engage
And fellowship with God above
In Jesus Christ where wrath meets love.​
