You have the answer at Khandava Forest - Wikipedia. The tribes people were sure displaced and so were the animals. But that is not much of a problem. Life goes on. Actually, tribes people all over the world burn forests to sow the area with what they need. A fire fertilizes the area. Vegetation and animals comes back quickly.
