It's quite remarkable how the basic points and information dealt with in this thread need first to deal with what seems to be very basic misinformation, as if it is strange to be discussing the historicity of Jesus and early Christianity without a religious agenda.
Well, that's the single critereon for logician's any many other folks' rejection of any historical information in the New Testament or Josephus.
There are religious aspects of these documents, and some scholars who study them are religious, and therefore many folks throw out all historicity.
