The EU knows Ukraine is corrupt and financial irresponsible like Greece whom the EU had to bailout; also, the EU expects America to come to Ukraine's rescue
In few years Nationalists will come to power in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Sweden ...so speeches like this will remain a vague memory...

The EU is not a club for Russia haters; it has strict regulations and criteria that a country has to meet to enable it to join.

I suppose the E.U. is now very wary of accepting new member nations after the lazy Greeks covered up their financial debt in order to join E.U. status.

They didn't. The E.U. let Greece join knowing how corrupt it was and is. It was the E.U's own desire to unify and bring in other states that it covered for Greece and turned a blind eye to its Government's many black marks.

Regarding E.U. knew true extent of Greece's debt crisis as Greece was accepted into the E.U., citation there needed please.
Greece was always a well-known corrupt country, just like Mexico or Brasil is today. It's less a case of bringing evidence that people knew, and more one of why it was allowed to join in the first place. Greece applied to join very early on when the Cold War was still raging and this was a large part of the decision as a great deal of it ultimately came down to 'Us Vs. the Soviets'.

The addition of a new country, the poorest to apply so far, was likely to severely test the Community’s institutions. Actually you confuse the EU with the Eurozone.
The Euro is a currency created by the Germans to destabilize the Economies of the Mediterranean countries.
Even Juncker admitted it...
Mysteriously Italy industrial production surpassed the German one in the 80s...but with the Euro (since 2002) Italy and France lost billions of Euros in GDP pro capita...whereas Germany gained them.
Criminalizing a country of 10 million people like Greece is a tactic used by Germany to show they are supposedly more virtuous, but the truth is that the Greeks had a more flourishing economy before the Euro.
What will happen? That the Euro will collapse soon. If Italy leaves the Eurozone, many other countries will follow.
We have plan A, B prepared in case of Eurexit since years.

Germany was split in two at that time though- only West Germany was in the proto-EU
Indeed...it was better back then.
Germany was vulnerable....and was not able to harm other European countries
