Why is Obama labeled "black?"

One of my former students has a black father and a white mother. She identifies herself as black, white, or biracial depending on what she feels like doing at the momentt. When she was in school, she liked to startle black clients by asking, "Is this the first time you've had a white girl do your hair?"

So íll just do the titlequestion.
Why is Obama labeled "black?"
Because he looks black to me? It's a combination of his skincolor and his hair for me.:shrug:
