Why Does God Want for You What You Don't Want?

Does anyone ever feel when you pray about something, it is never what you want, but how others often put it, "what you need?"

Why can't we have what we want when it comes to the Lord?

If God wants you, he`ll send his missionaries to ask you to join God. What God does not want from you which you want is become a disciple of Lucifer. Aren`t you? Of course not!

I am confused by your statement. I have at times felt like I was trying to do right, but was being steered by the wrong. As I am ignorant of the teachings of the Lord.

Also, what is wrong with Lucifer if he is willing to "give you everything you ever wanted?" Is there a reason why he wouldn't? You know supposedly he once was a friend of God's but was cast away. Why would he destroy his only friends? Lucifer can't fight his battle alone neither. Right?

I mean as a kid, you are told, (not everyone), do good, and you will go to Heaven where everything is great. Who wouldn't go with that?

However, true faith, is believing the Devil will give you what you want despite what others say. Sorry, playing Devil's Advocate for a moment - literally.

No, really, I am not a satanist, just things that I think about.

Why am I always surprised with disappoint? let downs. people wonder why i am never happy or excited? wow, maybe i will be surprised with something great one day even though science and math tell me that I am disappointed time and time again?

it's only crazy to believe things will change.

Science and math don't tell people they are disappointed. They tell them the truth, and then people decide to be disappointed or joyful in that truth.

Sometimes we pray and ask for something that appears to be good now but may turn out bad for us later.....Many times I do things without praying and get way out ahead of God's plan and I end up in a mess.

Because most of us don't really know what we want.

People spend their lives telling themselves "If I had this" or " If only this would happen...then I'll be happy". Then they get what they thought would fix their lives for them and it doesn't.

I think the problem is that the above philosophy is putting conditions on your happiness.

Maybe if we just prayed for the ability to be grateful for what we have...

Charity, why don`t you go to an on-line casino & bet. God will answer you what you really want. You can select what games you like to play. Poker? Oh, it`s a very difficult game.
