This is the perhaps the hardest theological question I have ever been asked. I am clueless? Any thoughts??????

Fascinating question. Since I prefer cornbread muffins, I don't have much to add. Perhaps some other members will. :)

This is a question that's been vexing bakers and theologians alike down through the ages.

It was first put forth by Bishop Duncan of Hines in his famous treatise "Why I Like Breakfast Pastries, But Dislike Small Crawly Things" sometime around brunch in the early late mid-15th century.

Most scholars believe it was intended to be a metophorical translation of a literal analogy directed at unscrupulous shoe makers and people who's names start with the letter "B".
