I am very much interested in Persian Mithraism, Franz Cumont came up with a theory that Roman Mithraism originally came from a heretical Magi sect called Magassueans who used to worship Mithra. What is the relationship of Magi with Ahur Mazda? Are Zoroastrians just fire worshippers or do you guys worship anything else? What is Zurvanism? How was that religion like? So my main question is was Franz Cumont right about Magassueans as the ones who spread the Chaldean oracles to the west and to the Greeks and the Romans who become famous as the Chaldean Magi?
