What are some easy ways to check for electrical leakage?

Sometimes I will touch a lightswitch and get a little shock. It's from all around my house so I don't think it is an electrical leakage, plus it is also dry in my house so it's likely static electricity. Anyways, I want to be on the safe side sometimes (I know you distinguish static vs current electricity is by the pain level, but I think a light current shock would feel very similar to a very high static shock and sometimes it's hard to tell)

Could be a faulty earth and/or your cabling is routed in metal conduit.

My suggestion, get a qualified sparks to take a look

Put buckets under your switches & outlets.
Check'm regularly (before it can evaporate) for electricity accumulating.
