Peace be on you…….Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) delivered the Friday sermon in Sweden. He read the verse of Holy Quran and explained for Ahmadiyya-Muslims.
[24:22] O ye who believe! follow not the footsteps of Satan, and whoso follows the footsteps of Satan should know that he surely enjoins immorality and manifest evil. And but for the grace of Allah and His mercy upon you, not one of you would ever be pure, but Allah purifies whom He pleases. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
Allah the Exalted has guided and warned in this verse and others verses that the true believers and children of Adam should not follow steps of Satan. This directive is due to the reason that Satan is disobedient of Allah the Exalted. It moves and rebels against the directives of Allah the Exalted, and it teaches same to its followers. As the result, Satan will make its followers the fuel for Hell just like itself. Allah the Exalted has clearly said that He would put its followers in Jahannam / Hell. Their abode would be Jahannam. After clearly stating it, Allah the Exalted said, Do human not undertand after this, that Satan is your manifest foe. So avoid this enemy.
There are people who do not care about Deen / religion, they do not know what is Jahannam / hell and Jannah / paradise. They have no surity about the Being of God the Exalted. They neither understand matters of Deen, nor they want to. If some people in these countries read something about Islam, it is only to get familiarity of it or to tell others that they know about Deen and Islam. In fact their knowledge is only superficial and acedemic. There are some who study Quran and get information about Islam to make objections and criticism but they neither get any benefit of this teaching and its excellences, nor they not get out of clutches of Satan, nor they seek God the Exalted, nor they have interest in this seeking. Such people follow Satan.
But there are those who claim to be Momin / true believers, yet they follow Satan. Or subconsciously they follow Satan by doing certain acts or by not making full effort to find refuge with God the Exalted. That is why Allah the Exalted alerts true believers in the above verse they should not follow satan. He is telling them they should not be off guard from Satanic attacks by thinking they have believed in Islam. Satanic danger remains, a true believer too can be caught in Satanic clutches.
It is the duty of each true believer that they should always remember Allah the Exalted to be safe from Satanic attacks.
Satan sought permission of Allah the Exalted on Day-one to make true believeres astray from right path. It claimed then that if permission was granted it would lure them by sitting at each path, and would make them follow it by various tricks and plots. Satan claimed majority of human would follow it.
We are seeing all this in the world today. Even the claimants of having Emaan are following Satan. Allah the Exalted had warned in Holy Quran:
[4:94] “wa main yaqtul momenun mota-ammedan fajaza-ohu jahannamo….” i.e. “ And whoso kills a believer intentionally, his reward shall be Hell ….”
These days what is happening in Muslim world, what is this; mutual killing; it is following Satan. Overall, extremists’ killing any people without any reason in attacks, these are all satanic acts which takes to hell. All this is done on the name of paradise; it is Satanic lure. Allah the Exalted says, by doing this act, you shall get hell, not paradise.
Allah the Exalted tells true believers to keep check on theirselves all the times, to be vigilant to avoid following Satan’s steps. Are you following Satan by denying small matters, or by doing big sins. It is not only that extremists and killers are following Satanic steps, but when a person go away from a smallest directive of Allah the Exalted he moves toward Satan. One has to be very careful to be true believer.
The method of luring and attacks by Satan is not easily understandable by human. When it call toward sins and disobedience of Allah the Exalted it does not say cleary to do so. It takes toward evil in the guise of goodness. When Satan took adam away from the commandment of Allah the Exalted, it did with reference to goodness.
The above verse is also sheding light on: How evils spread and then how these cover a vast area. When human put one step after the other on the steps of Satan, it means human is spreading evils.
= In the beginning, an evil seems very small, or human thinks such a little evil will not harm him or society.
= But when it spreads in vast area, i.e. very many people begin to do it, either people do not check it at all, or they do not call it evil due to fear of society or due to inferiority complex [that if they spoke againt it they would loose honor in society, they become silent]. For these fears some people do not practice evil.
There are many things done in this society on the name of freedom, the governments accept these, but these are evils (according to divine teaching).
Apparently, there is an evil in the eyes of this society, i.e. veil / covering. They think it usurps rights of woman. Much is said against veil in this society. They think there is no need of Shariah directive to practice veil.
Some young ladies become relaxed in observing veil / covering due to inferioty complex, or because their friends do not like it, or sometimes teachers and student make joke about veil. Satan put thought in these girls’ minds that it is trivial thing, you are not losing your dignity by leaving this little thing, to avoid comments from society, do not wear your dupatta, scarf and naqab, nothing will happen, you are doing other things according to teaching of Islam.
At that time, the woman or girl who quits veil does not think it is Quranic commandment. The modesty of woman is her modest dress. The diginity of woman is in her avoiding reasonless meetings and mixings with men.
By the grace of Allah the Exalted, there are Ahmadi-Muslim girls in this society when men object their veils / coverings they give them mouth shattering answer that it is our act what we like we are doing, you are snatching our freedom by forcing us not to cover. We too have the right to wear our dress according to our will. But there are some females, despite being Ahmadi, who say, it is very difficult to veil or to wear scarf in this society, we feel shame.
Parents too should develop these understandings in girls that they should feel shame when not practicing Islamic teaching, not for obeying commandment of Allah the Exalted!
Likewise in our boys / youth, there exist some evils due to unrestrained society. These evils enter silently. When boys get involved in these evils, other evils too began to pour in.
So there is need to make [moral and spiritual] trenches in homes to remain safe from all satanic attacks and to answer back. Do not let Satan’s love enter into life by you thinking it is real love. Instead each Ahmadi should make effort to say Istighfar [seek Divine cover, forgiveness, help] and seek protection of Allah the Exalted all the time. The greatest shelter to be safe from Satan is Allah the Exalted. By doing Istighfar, one should make effort to have His protection in this deformed era. Istighfar is the means to get protection of Allah the Exalted.
No human go toward any evil knowingly. It is againt nature that if one knows something is harmful yet one tries to go to it. Allah the Exalted has explained about virutue and evil to true believers. So one should make effort to find and do virtues and avoid evils, in the light of Divine teaching. Satan knows as long as human is in the protection of Allah the Exalted it cannot harm human. That is why Satan wants to pull human out of that protection and fort and then make him follow it. Satan pulls believer out of Divine protection by luring human through virtues.
