US closes Missions in South Africa

Saw this on the news yesterday/today. Here it is headline news. Cabinet says it is concerned about the impact the closure of American missions in South Africa is having on the country’s image. Seems I'm living in a very dangerous place

Government said while the nature of the threat that led to the closures remained a mystery, local authorities were working closely with their US counterparts.
Government spokesperson Themba Maseko said not much was known about an apparent threat which resulted in all US diplomatic offices being closed in South Africa for a second consecutive day.
"My information at this point is that they got the information from their own sources and we are just cooperating with them to try and understand what is the nature of the threat," said Maseko.
He said the closure of US embassies created the impression South Africa was not safe, adding South Africa’s security agencies were working closely with the US to get to the bottom of the threat. - Eyewitness News: Cabinet concerned about the closure of US missions
