Comes only from the authority of God via God's messengers?

Or is man capable of being the source of ultimate wisdom?
An atheist would say man is our only source of wisdom. If there is no God then whatever wisdom you hold highest came from the mind of another person such as yourself.

There are wise sayings, we accept their wisdom. There are also religious sayings that claim the wisdom of man is foolishness.

Is it possible for humanity without God to be wise?

I don't even think humanity can know anything without God (let alone be wise), but of course I'd say that.

Personally, I try to avoid 'ultimate wisdom'.

Untangling the theological assumptions behind the word "messengers" and substituting the Avatar, my answer is no.

Those humans who have become One with divinity are a source of ultimate wisdom.

Well, according to some, it would then only be necessary to avoid God.

But, in your opinion, a connection to divinity is necessary.
Mostly included the "messengers" because some feel our only connection to divinity is through these messengers.

They can without scripture, be guided and follow the hidden ascended masters in the journey to God and be wise. But if God didn't reveal scripture and send his messengers with clear proofs and clear messages, very few, would have followed that wisdom. Most would be ignorant and fall prey to the darkness.

Scripture and Messengers aren't necessary for people to be good, they are necessary for a great amount of people if their is going to be a great amount, to be good and for them to rise for justice and rally around it. Without Messengers and scripture, humanity doesn't stand much of a chance.

Heck, we failed even with them.

I don't know where wisdom comes from
My mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother have it, but how will I get it?

Your questions comes down to what each one of us understand wisdom to be.
Some may say understanding mechanically problems required wisdom of some level, others see wisdom through philosophy and again others see it through spiritual teachings and personal experiences in the practice.
And some say only God can give us wisdom.

    Yes, well what say you?

My "wisdom" whatever bit I possess, comes from a long history of bad choices and learning from them.
I don't see God as being particularly instrumental in me making bad choices.

I can't speak for you, I only gave answer from my understanding of your question in the OP

I only ever expect a person to speak for themselves.
If what you previously said is you speaking for yourself, it just seemed a bit conflicted.

Conflicting in what way? Maybe I can make it more clear?

    you said,

    understanding mechanically problems
    wisdom through philosophy
    spiritual teachings and personal experiences
    only God

Four different answers to one question. To me this seems conflicted.

I'm pretty sure I have no choice, what on earth does the phrase even pretend to mean? It's like claiming to be seeking ultimate truth, or ultimate happiness.

Deepity...an idea or statement that seems to be profound but actually isn't. :D:eek:o_O

Looking at the lives of Ramana Maharsha, Ramakrishna Paramhamsa, St. Francis of Assisi, Rumi, Hafiz and others I know of no way based on what they say, how they dress or by any ordinary means I know of. What makes it even harder is there are hordes of frauds making a living at pretending to be such a person or even some who think they are but aren't.

If one is sensitive to the love they radiate, then recognition can occur. On the other hand, if they have ordinary charisma, if their actions are not in accord with their words especially when they act out of greed, lust etc, then they aren't.

On RF? Who knows. In this era, there's no reason that such a person would avoid technology.

That is different ways it could be understood, all of those are not my views but different ways people could understand and give answers to the same question
