With trump running for election, and Cohen being conicted for financial crimes, the prosecutoers learned how much Trump lied
So it was just about politics and the testimony of a known perjurer. Good job.

"Later in Habba’s cross-examination, Cohen also said he was lying under oath in congressional testimony he gave in 2019, in which he denied any recollection of Trump ever asking him or Weisselberg to inflate numbers for financial statements." ~ Forbes.

So Trump has 22 days to pay E. Gene Carroll, or put money in an escrow account to appeal. So he needs to find $83.3 million in the next three weeks.

Trump faces massive interest until he pays his legal judgments, which amount to over $500 million, and amounts to about 1 million a week until he pays up.

No, it's about evidence. It seems that went over your head and ability to comprehend the news.
False according to a politicised judge, right?
No, as revealed in court against facts. Trump claimed his apartment in Trump Tower was 30,000 square feet when the fact is it is 10,000 SF. He claimed the value was higher based on lies about the size. Trump also lied about the value of other properties, and these claims werre compared to actual values of similar properties.

I take it you aren't reading about any of the trials. Why else would you be so confused?

Nice to see you acknowledge how much of the country disagrees with you..
Get on board, son!
That is a very small percentage of the population that is either immoral or incredibly deceived, or just plain evil. Only 24%. When one has 330 million people it does not take a huge percentage to raise a ton of money.

According to Forbes it is 10,996 sq ft. Forbes valued it at 64 million, and Trump reportedly valued it at 200 million. So for a bank exposure to risk of 136 million (not at actual loss), Trump gets hit with 364 million. Do you have the numbers for the other properties?

Yep, a known perjurer that lied for Trump. One who Trump never acknowledged that he lied for him. A known perjurer that owned up to his lies and learned from them. Compared to the President that has the most number of lies of any President at all and that was in only four years. How many of Trump's has he acknowledged? How many times has he apologized? Is it any wonder that the judge found Cohen to be far more credible than Trump or any of his employees?

Correct, the case was made for us in court. Both Trump and the prosecutor asked for a verdict before the trial even started. Based upon the undisputed evidence, that is evidence that both sides agreed to, he was able to come up with a guilty verdict before the trial began and the trial itself was just about the degree of punishment. Trump and his lawyers were so braindead that that fact never sank in. The prosecutor wanted everything on record so all of the evidence was presented anyway. Trump was guilty.

Yes, endless evidence. Trump used two different values for Mar A Lago. He lied about its value because to make it less taxable he signed away the rights to develop it forever to the city. For tax purposes he used the decreased "this property cannot be developed" values. For loans he pretended that he still could develop it. That was a lie.

It was. Trump University got sued, and Trump lost. Trump charity got sued, and Trump lost. He and his kids are banned from being involved in any charity in New York due to their fraud. With trump running for election, and Cohen being conicted for financial crimes, the prosecutoers learned how much Trump lied, and they had a basis for an investigation with his help. Today's result has been 5 years in the making.

You don't seem very aware of they guy you are supporting. You seem stunned that all these crimes are being exposed.

All that before or after his first term as president?

And let's not forget that the IRS has been doing an investigation of Trump and his tax cheating. Estimates suspect that Trump will be found liable for tax evasion, and could have to pay nearly $100 million in back taxes.

Trump may be facing massive real estate sales to come up with the cash to pay these bills. You have to wonder what inheritance will be left for the kids.
If the government agencies can go after Trump, they can go after you as well.
Beware.

The "gun" is false accounting documents. Theft is theft.

The facts about this case really seem to go over your head.
A gun usually is what is meant to scare someone into handing over their money, with no payback.
Documents being signed with full agreement by both parties, and then both parties ending up happy and ending up doing business again in the future? Hardly a gun.

24% is what you call a "very small percentage"?

You are really struggling to understand what a lie is, and what fraud is. I would explain how fraud is illegal but this all seems way too complicated for you.

Your condescension is pretty funny considering that fraud requires a victim and the bank didn't bring the case against Trump.

Further evidence that these cases are politically motivated to try to keep him from winning the presidency.
It'll backfire, just as the indictments did--and will get him even more support.
The politically motivated trial and verdict will likely be overturned on appeal. The banks that Trump supposedly defrauded testified in his behalf.
