The War of The Gods

I wrote this as I sat outside watching some birds. I felt inclined to write about religious tolerance. This is directed not to any particular religion, but instead to all beliefs or lack of them. Hope ya like!

The drums beat, the armies march

The swords are drawn, "To arms, To arms"​

A golden cross? a crescant moon?​

A spark is lit, "Alarm, Alarm"​

To build a kingdom or slay a demon?​

Our faith must we persuade​

If not adhere or reject the word​

Then fight, we must, in a holy Crusade​

From battle to battle, on over the hill​

Fight to the death, take the Castle Ohd​

Is the world ending, or our doom await?​

For this is surely the War of The Gods​

All Hope may diminish and faith insecure​

The Love of the world will surely endure​

Very good! I like it! Someone should write a book about a war of the Gods. That would be an awesome read!
