    What is the true Gospel?

Some people believe and teach that the Gospel is the fact that Jesus died and was raised on the third day. But according to the Scriptures, this is not the true Gospel, it may be a piece of it, but it's not the true Gospel message.

Jesus and His Apostles were preaching the Gospel for at least three years before the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Matthew 11:4-5 Jesus answered and said to them, "Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: "The blind receive their sight and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mark 13:10 "And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.

Luke 9:6 So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

Here we have Jesus and His disciples preaching the Gospel to all the people. But look at Peter's response when Jesus tells them He must be crucified and raised on the third day.

Matthew 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Jesus dying and being raised on the third day. This is what most people believe and teach as the Gospel. But now listen to Peter's response.

Matthew 16:22 Then Peter took Jesus aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!''

Now keep in mind that Jesus and the Apostles have been preaching the Gospel up until this point. If the Gospel message they were preaching was that Jesus must die and be raised on the third day then Peter should have been rejoicing to the fact that this was about to happen to Jesus, but we don't see him rejoicing.

So what is the true Gospel that they preached? It's the same Gospel we should be preaching, the good news of God's coming Kingdom.

Matthew 4:23 Now Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Mark 1:14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Mark 1:15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.''

After Jesus' resurrection He was seen by many people. What do you think Jesus spoke about His last 40 days on earth? You guessed it, the Kingdom of God.

Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

The coming Kingdom of God was so important to Jesus that He spent His last hours explaining things pertaining to the Kingdom.

The good news of God's coming Kingdom is the message we should be preaching to all the world. We should be telling people to be ready for the Kingdom. We as God's people should be watching and praying for Jesus is going to come as a thief in the night.

Paul says that if angels come and preach any other Gospel then what they have preached they are to be accursed.

Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

He even states it again because of it' importance.

Galatians 1:9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

If we make the Gospel to mean that Jesus died for our sins then Jesus may find us sleeping when He comes. People won't have enough oil in their lamps and will be shut out by the Bridegroom. They may get behind the plow and after a short time start looking back.

Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.''

Jesus' death paid for the sins of the whole world whether people believe it or not but this does not mean everyone will be saved. Jesus made it possible for all to come and be washed. His ministry is to wash a people with words to make them ready for the coming Kingdom.

Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Jesus will teach us daily in our walk. His sheep will hear His words and obey them, in this He is giving them eternal life.

John 10:27-28 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

We obey Him so we can enter into the Kingdom.

Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

This Kingdom is very valuable to God. It's so valuable that He gave His only begotten Son so that we can be partakers of the Kingdom.

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

This suffering comes as a result of living holy in an unholy world.

When we truly come to understand the value of the Kingdom then we will die to self and live for the Kingdom.

Matthew 13:44-46 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, "who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Seek first the Kingdom does not mean it's the first thing you do in the morning, but rather, as a priority over all things.

Let us preach the true Gospel message of God's coming Kingdom so we can help make a people ready by giving them the hope that anchors the soul.

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.

It's this coming Kingdom that Abraham looked forward to and it changed his life. We are to have the faith of Abraham.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

This coming Kingdom will be a time of peace and great joy. No more death, sickness or sorrow. Many different things can bring sorrow but in the Kingdom there will be no sorrow because there will nothing that can bring sorrow. There will be no wars or dirty politics. No thiefs or murderers or anything that defiles. This Kingdom is God's promise to all His faithful and it will never end. Knowing and believing this gives power through hope to live for it.

yes and the heavenly kingdom was born in 1914 in the heavens and is now well established Daniel 2;44And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; .............. yes the birth of this heavenly kingdom took place in 1914 in the heavens
And a great sign was seen in heaven, a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon was beneath her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars, 2 and she was pregnant. And she cries out in her pains and in her agony to give birth.
And she gave birth to a son, a male, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was caught away to God and to his throne revelation 12 ;5 yes noone can harm this kingdom because it has Gods protection , it is caught away to God yes the child that was born in 1914 was the kingdom , and Jesus is the king of this kingdom ......... its all happening in these last days . we are now in the time of the end . the end of manmade rulership . The heavenly kingdom goverment is now well established and ready to take over human goverments

I'm not a JW so I don't understand how you come to 1914 as being the birth of the kingdom.

Could you explain this for me?

Please us Scripture to support your beliefs.

    Many blessings,
    John

    Hi May,

I read your post regarding 1941. I'm sure there is probably more to it than what you were able to write in your post.

We know that Jesus was exalted to the right hand of the Father on High when He ascended into heaven 40 days after His resurrection at which time He poured out the spirit to His disciples. If the heavenly kingdom was birthed in 1941, what was Jesus doing in heaven prior to 1941?

    Many blessings,
    John

i think you mean 1914 , and yes , that is only one

of the things that point to 1914 as the time when Jesus was made king of Gods heavenly kingdom ,but as the bible tells us, Jesus had to wait for the time when he was made king of the heavenly kingdom, the birth of the kingdom was later on in 1914
Christ had, indeed, begun to rule over the Christian congregation in the first century, but the establishment of the Kingdom to rule over all the earth was yet future.
Rev. 12:10, 12: "Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time." (The establishment of God’s Kingdom is here associated with the hurling of Satan out of heaven. This had not occurred at the time of the rebellion in Eden, as is shown in Job chapters 1, 2. Revelation was recorded in 96 C.E., and Revelation 1:1 shows that it deals with events then future.)
after telling of events that would follow the establishment of the Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ in 1914, Revelation 12:12 adds: "Be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.

Hi May,I have done a little research since our last conversation. It seems to me that the JWs are having some second thoughts on the date, 1914. Is this true and why or is it the devil's propaganda. What are your things on this? Many blessings,John

1914 is most certainly the date that Jesus was made king in the heavenly kingdom goverment , as it fullfills bible prophecy and chronology , and world events, because we are now living in the last days since 1914 ,greater understanding is being revealed , so as the time goes on refining and more accurate understanding is now happening so the understanding about various things is progressive, but Jesus kingship in 1914 is certain,
And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant Daniel 12;4
"Go, Daniel, because the words are made secret and sealed up until the time of [the] end. Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will certainly act wickedly, and no wicked ones at all will understand; but the ones having insight will understand daniel 12;9-10
and yes as you say there is plenty of satanic proparganda out there. so for me i always go to the faithful slave that Jesus is channeling information down through ...matthew 24; 45-47
(Daniel 11:33) And as regards those having insight among the people, they will impart understanding to the many. And they will certainly be made to stumble by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plundering, for [some] days.
(Matthew 13:11) In reply he said: "To YOU it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, but to those people it is not granted

What world events in 1914 reveal to us Jesus was made King of the heavenly kingdom?

It seems to me that the last days began when God sent His son.

Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.

What did the death of Jesus accomplish pertaining to the kingdom and the power of Satan?

How does Jesus' death and resurrection fit in with His Kingship over the Kingdom?

Was not Jesus exaulted to the right hand of the Father at His resurrection?

Does not Jesus' exaltation at His resurrection automatically put Him over His Father's house as King? If so, why wait till 1914?

    Many blessings,
    John

How, then, is the time calculated down to 1914? Counting 2,520 years from early October of 607 B.C.E. brings us to early October of 1914 C.E
    CALCULATING THE "SEVEN TIMES
    "Seven times" = 7 X 360 = 2,520 years
    A Biblical "time," or year = 12 X 30 days = 360. (Rev. 11:2, 3; 12:6, 14)
In the fulfillment of the "seven times" each day equals one year. (Ezek. 4:6; Num. 14:34)
    Early October, 607 B.C.E., to December 31, 607 B.C.E.= 1/4 year
    January 1, 606 B.C.E., to December 31, 1 B.C.E. = 606 years
    January 1, 1 C.E., to December 31, 1913 = 1,913 years
    January 1, 1914, to early October, 1914 = 3/4 year
    [B]Total: 2,520 years[/B]

What happened in 1914 at that time? Jehovah entrusted rulership over mankind to his own Son, Jesus Christ, glorified in the heavens.—Dan. 7:13, 14 yes its all happening in this time of the end, is not the bible a great book, the seven times ended in 1914 right on time , its all happening

the composite sign is all around us ,
The Bible uses the expression "last days" to refer to the concluding time period leading up to a divinely appointed execution that marks the end of a system of things. The Jewish system with its worship built around the temple in Jerusalem experienced its last days from 33 to 70 C.E. What occurred then was pictorial of what would be experienced in a greatly intensified way and on a global scale at a time when all nations would be facing the execution of judgment decreed by God. The present wicked system of things, which extends worldwide, entered its last days in 1914,

    What
indicates that we today are living in "the last days"?

The Bible describes events and conditions that mark this significant time period. "The sign" is a composite one made up of many evidences; thus its fulfillment requires that all aspects of the sign be clearly in evidence
The various aspects of the sign are recorded at Matthew chapters 24, 25, Mark 13, and Luke 21; there are further details at 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 2 Peter 3:3, 4, and Revelation 6:1-8.
