The Need for an Imam

Rational_Mind

Ahmadi Muslim
A simple sign of the Promised Messiah (as) was that he stated that if he had not come surely Allah (swt) would have sent someone else in his place. He stated in an Urdu Couplet:

"It was time of the Messiah and no one else, Had I not come, someone else would have!"

He had no self-pride of his claim, he stated that it was upon Allah (swt) order that he declared the title given to him. In response to his claim many people were angry how he could declare Prophethood, a lot till this day have failed to understand that it is not choice of man. Man always selfishly wishes to choose their leader, as such Prophet Muhammad (saw) was rejected because they wanted to choose someone else. They wanted someone with a "status". Response of the Promised Messiah (as) is below:

'Some foolish people think that I have falsely claimed to be a recipient of revelations. This is incorrect. In fact this happened through the Powerful God Who has created the heavens and the earth and the universe. In times when belief in God is lessened, a man like me is created and God converses with him and through him, God manifests His wonders. So much so that people come to understand that indeed God exists.’

A Prophet of God does not simply get up on his own to make a claim. To prove this he stated that if he was indeed a liar then him and his community would be destroyed, and if he was truthful there would be such divine support that even if all of mankind gathered against his community their efforts would still fail.

Today it can safely be said that since the birth of Ahmadiyyat every major religious organization has lead full fled attacks on Ahmmadiyyat. Those who are and will always be greatly divided only united against Ahmadiyyat for a single purpose. This Unity the Quran has described when speaking of Qurash, Allah (swt) stated they were greatly divided but as always bitter enemies unite to oppose a true Prophet of God.

Of a truth, they have greater fear of you in their hearts than of Allah. That is because they are a people who are devoid of all reason.

They will not fight you in a body except in fortified towns or from behind walls. Their fighting among themselves is severe. Thou thinkest them to be united, but their hearts are divided. That is because they are a people who have no sense.

Their case is like the case of those who have, a short time before them, tasted the evil consequences of their doings. And for them is a painful punishment.

(al-Hashr, 59:14–16)

Bitter enemies among Chrisitians, Jews, and Muslims united on One Front, many are still united today. Yet, today Ahmadiyyat still continues to grow despite harsh opposition. Once arguments of opposition failed they resorted to the sword, even so a man from rural region in Subcontinent of India, Qadian, a small village that nobody even heard about has formed a community that is now spread over 200+ countries and has 4 24/7 Global Satellite Channels and One Imam, a Khalifa as Prophesied by Holy Prophet (saw) that every Muslims desires to have established.

This last quote below gives a fundamental answer to allegations raised against the Promised Messiah (as). Any man with intellect and reason would understand that Allah (swt) would never let a falsehood of the degree that is alleged against Ahmadiyyat come to the success it has today.

Is it possible that a person should be true and yet should be destroyed? Is it possible that a person should be from God and should be ruined? O ye people, fight not God. This is an affair which God has designed for your sake and for the sake of your faith, so do not lay obstacles before it. You might stand before the lightening but you have not the strength to confront God. If all this had been man’s doing, none of your attacks would have been needed. God Himself would have destroyed me. Alas! Heaven is bearing witness and you do not hear; the earth is crying out: One is needed, one is needed, and you pay no attention! O unfortunate people! arise and see that in this time of distress, Islam has been trodden underfoot and has been maligned like criminals. It has been counted among liars and has been written down among unholy ones. Then would not God’s jealousy be aroused at such at time? Understand then that heaven is drawing close and the days are near when every ear shall hear the affirmation: ‘I am present’.
