We used to play with mercury from broken thermometers. No harm from that either

Those were the days. I think that we might have messed around with it in high school chem lab too.
Mercury, sodium, phosphorus and all the cool stuff in the science lab.
My parents used to buy us chemistry sets. My brother and I considered the warnings on the containers of chemicals more like recommendations. Fortunately, nothing more serious than science degrees resulted.
