The feminine principle is connected to substance and matter. The masculine principle is more connected to thought and spirit. In nature, both principles are in affect. For example, oxygen and hydrogen will react to form water. These atoms are matter or mother, whereas the forces and the thermodynamics are the spirit that alters the state of the matter.
If we only had spirit; force and thermodynamics, but no matter or substance present, we would remain in a state similar to imagination; potential but not actual. The feminine principle is the substance by which the imagination of God takes shape and form.
Humans do the same thing. We come up with ideas. These ideas become real only after they impact matter and alter the state of matter; new iPhone. The Feminine principle is the capacitance that fixes the spirit in time and space. It has connection to inertial reference and the big bang. God brooding over the deep was imagination without substance. Once substance appears imagination takes form in space and time.
The Holy Spirit, as the feminine principle, is connected to a form of substance that can be used as the capacitance to give another layer of form and shape to the imagination of God. This substance is connected to human memory. The temporal lobe processes language which is a type of added neural matrix from which new and creative thought can take shape.
If you come up with a unique thought, but never speak or write it, it remains formless. Once spoken or written it can impact the neural matrix of others and thereby linger in space and time. The Holy Spirit or the spirit of truth, impacts the memory of Christians and lingers through the ages.
