Cities are authorizing companies to charge a couple
hundred dollars if your meter is expired for even a
few minutes. It used to be $5 to $10 in my town.


If they attach something to your car, ie, your windshield
that makes driving dangerous, & you don't want to
pay them $200 or more to remove it, then you
have the right to disable & even destroy the device.
The company says you aren't prevented from driving
away. But driving with an obstructed windshield
is illegal & dangerous. The Barnacle manufacturer
might find itself in a bankrupting lawsuit.

It's always good to carry tools, eg, saws, pry bars,
awls, screwdrivers, torch.
