Happy birthday Shadow Wolf!
I was in bed dreaming about the Capitoline She-wolf who breastfed the founders of Rome.
I call Denise Marie Naslund, (the Kami who introduced me to Shinto), "Capitol Hill Wolf" because I called her "Capitol Hill Queen", before knowing there was a "Capitol Hill" in my state, or that I would live near it.
Denise's Mother's maiden name is "Deeb" which is Arabic for "Wolf".
A mentally ill patient at a hospital years ago had visions of animals , and she said she thinks my spirit animal is "Wolf", because she keeps having visions of a wolf when she prays for me.
The highest Kami in Shinto , Amaterasu Omikami, is depicted in art and video games as a She-Wolf.
The spider that crawled in my cell in youth prison, that scared the hell out of me, and taught me to love my fear, was a big female wolf-spider.
I went to a native American clinic this Monday and prayed before their wolf statue.
The Japanese word for God is Kami. The Japanese word for Wolf is "Okami".
I used to pray "Oh Kami, Oh Kami"... before knowing I was crying "wolf, wolf". The boy who cried wolf. Lol .
I was writing this in my journal and I checked my notifications. Yours was at the top so I clicked and.... IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY?!?
Truly, I feel today there was some special grace where my spirit was breastfed nourishing milk for the soul, from my Capitol Hill Deeb (Wolf) Denise, or perhaps Amaterasu, or who knows.
But I owe you a big thanks for making your birthday a great gift of a day to me. I was literally in the middle of writing about my wolf dream. Rome got it's name from Romulus surviving off the she wolf's breast milk , and I dreamed that I had to quickly reproduce statues of the Capitoline She-wolf and have that mailed to many countries as gifts , like a Trojan horse. It turned into a nightmare.
Then while journaling about that, I checked notifications, you were on top, and I noticed it was your birthday.
I also have really bad knees like you from my jump off a building suicide attempt. I feel your pain. (Do you have a Divinity you feel consoles you during pain? )
We are not alone.
A glorious resurrection always follows the brutal crucifixion. (And, no, I'm not Christian....I'm Shinto...but still, I think that piece is true! In this life we all have a cross to carry.)
Enough of that. It's your birthday, homegirl! With age comes wisdom and a more humble beautiful soul.
You truly made my day though.
