I am trying to track down examples of a deity or deities being adopted into a new pantheon and in which colonialism was not involved. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

I cannot offer you direct examples but people like Pythagoras travelled to Egypt and studied under various cults on his own desire to expand knowledge. Granted he was interested int he esoteric principles of sacred geometry but nonetheless this involved the usage of deities as this was all done under the priests of various cults.
