sweet perdition

Sweet Perdition

Alone by the tree
On the bank of the river
Eyes litter the sky
I begin to quiver
What are all these eyes
Floating here and there?
Beautiful, majestic
Made of thin air
Are they the watchers
From the good book?
The souls of ancestors
Killed by the brook?
Relaxing my eyes
I see them more clear
With only an intention
They draw me near
Ripped from my body
Flesh on the ground
I float up above
What a beautiful sound
Putting off more heat
As my frequency rises
This is what
The shaitan despises
Into the sky
I see with new eyes
Peering through a veil
What a surprise
People of rainbows
Scattered through the land
A beautiful site
No cow has a brand
These people have been freed
From the shackles of humans
They now understand
They are heavenly beings
Pathways and portals
To distant places
So much more
Than just earth’s races
Time has no meaning
The sands do not move
The only feeling here
Is pure loving love
Basking in the light
A total massage
Instantly back in my body
Right by my Dodge

I definatley enjoyed this poem, John 313. It was most interesting. Among the few "simple" poems I have ever read that have held my attention for more than twenty seconds. I think that is the key here. That the meaning seems to move beneath the verse, unseen unless sought after.
