As a kid my parents would take me to friends in London. The local vicar would hold his service in the local pub because he "got more customers". Only when i grew up did i realise the significance of the pubs name... The Green Man

I celebrate sunrise over the sea on the solstices, but it means getting up really early. There were only two of us from the Moot last time, though a lot of other people gathered. Some of them went for a swim (brrr).

INVENTORI LUCIS SOLI INVICTO AUGUSTO
"I glorify the unconquerable sun, the creator of light."

According to a Roman inscription from the 2nd century AD, people would invoke this prayer to Sol.
