Jesus human father Joseph did various handiman work. The home they had in Nazareth was small but it had a garden and a shop next to it. If I recall corretly the family also owned two other properties and rented them out. Jesus brothers went to school and the girls helped Mary with the house work.

Jesus first went to Jewish school and also learned to fix wagon wheels. Jesus also learned to fish from an uncle who was a fisherman and Jesus learned to speak Greek as well as Hebrew.

The family was not rich but they were upper middle class and had some savings until Joseph was killed by a falling derrick while working on the governors home. Pontius Pilate refused to pay Jesus family back pay owed for work Joseph had already done. Jesus and James had to work full time fixing wagon wheels. The family used up all of their savings and had to sell off the other properties and went from upper middle class to middle class and then lower middle class.

As Jesus grew older He saw the girls get married and the boys finish Jewish school and fulfill their duties with trips to Jerusalem as required. Jesus slowly turned the wagon wheel work over to James and started distancing Himself from the family and eventually left them entirely to work as an interpreter for a trader from India who was on his way to Rome.
