Caste system is not unique to Hinduism or India. In the West, Blacks are still largely discriminated. In Islamic world, the Arabs consider Indian and pakistanis as third grade muslims. In Buddhism, different sects tries to look down on other sects. Hence in some form or another, discrimination will always be there.
