Single tea bag can leak billions of pieces of microplastic

We Never Know

No Slack
That is criminal. They look like paper.

I instantly see a risk inherent to putting plastic into people's tea. Obviously if the plastic particles can cause inflammation then they can be a factor in colon cancer and in various aggravations of the intestinal tract. We don't need to wait for scientific studies to tell us whether this is a health problem. The responsibility is upon the tea manufacturer to make it clear that the tea bags are made of plastic and can leave plastics in the digestive tract. Not having done so they are ethically negligent. In my opinion they have behaved maliciously.

Yes that is bad but just think of all the things we don't know lol

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I'm starting to think this banning plastic craziness is getting completely out of hand.

Then again after thinking about it, I suppose I should be happy as that would mean there be more quality materials rather than all the cheap plastic garbage products we have today that are somehow called quality by the brainwashed.

Personally btw, I like seeping loose tea using a metal tea strainer.

Plastic coffee pods doesn't seem like a great idea either.
Heating up the plastic isn't good for drinking bottled water from
sun exposure, so why would heated up coffee pods be any better?

Just to restate your concerns if I may be so bold: This doesn't concern you directly but may affect the ones you care about. Do you want them to have plastic in their guts? If you did you would feed them legos, but you care about your loved ones and would not do that. Therefore you are against these plastic tea bags.

I am against..soooooooooo many things

but the issue of micro plastics is soooooooooo huge

sure …..we can recycle almost anything
if we can keep a grip on it
and then move to do something with it

the thing is......the abundance of convenience is so engrained in our lives
we would stop buying the products that are not convenient
and much of the problem dies with that arm of the economy

but our economy has so many arms

cut one off.....two grow in it's place

and could we back up?......all the way to NOT using the high tech

not I or my children will live to see it

rather I think the high tech micro science will swell
in our lungs
in our throats
in our guts

plastic scalpels are next

Maybe our species will evolve into something like Plastic Man.

So, it may not be so bad if we all turned to plastic. We could reach our arms into a ten-foot tube.
