I have a stupid question.



Why do people call bathrooms restrooms? Unless there are invisible couches or beds in them the bathroom is not a place of rest.

I really wonder what you think the answer is.

Well, I've never taken a bath in a public restroom - so the name bathroom makes less sense than restroom does

in the filipines they call them comfort rooms (though if i take children there to comfort the fbi starts complaining )

They probably call it a rest room because a "pee and poo room" might be offensive.

I believe they call them water closets in the U.K.
