Would any knowledgeable person be able to teach me about Reformed Christianity and its many denominations via PM?

Well, it looks like I'm about 5 years late on the scene, but I'm an inactive member of the Reformed Church. If you're still interested, feel free to post questions here.

Basically, the Reformed movement follows the principles and doctrines on the Heidelberg Catechism.

A copy of the document can be found here: http://www.crcna.org/welcome/beliefs/confessions/heidelberg-catechism You can download a copy of the catechism in PDF format for offline reading. It is available in several languages. Just look for the appropriate link.
