This is a very interesting thread,
It shows the danger of accepting literal translations of any of the Bibles as Authoritative,( in that literal sense)
All of the Bibles give the inspiration of Christs teaching and Gods love of man.
You can Either decide to be a student of Biblical writings, or accept the teaching of the bible you normally use and be inspired by its message, but not bound by, the inevitably controversial detail,of the words.

The words of the Lord are pure words...Thou shalt keep them O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalm 12:6-7. And Jesus said not one jot nor one tittle would pass away, the world would pass away but not his word, so I won't make God a liar. We have his word preserved diligently for us, in the Received Text, and the KJV.

Hmnnn... you equate the Scriptures with being the word of God. Can you show us a reference that clearly states this? I would hope that you wouldn't add anything to the Scriptures at all.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou has known the HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ALL SCRIPTURE is given by INSPIRATION OF GOD and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruciton in righteousness, That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. II TImothy 3:13-17

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD. Ephesians 6:17

For the WORD OF GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

As newborn babes, desire the sincere MILK OF THE WORD, that ye may grow thereby. I Peter 2:2

And Jesus answered him saying, It is WRITTEN, That man shall not live by bread alone, BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD. Luke 4:4

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

In Mark 4:4, above, Jesus equated scripture with the word of God, I will take his word on it, without 'adding' to the scriptures at all, thank-you.

Great verses... I love and believe each and every one of them. But NONE of them say that

    Word of God = Scriptures

Is your assumption valid? Possibly not. I have always found it a safe practice to preach only what God preaches. If he didn't come out and just say it, then there MUST be a reason.

Here is a whole passel of scriptures on the "word of God" and not ONE of them claims what you have claimed:
    1. Matthew 15:6
he is not to 'honor his father ' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
Matthew 15:5-7 (in Context) Matthew 15 (Whole Chapter)
    2. Mark 7:13
Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that."
Mark 7:12-14 (in Context) Mark 7 (Whole Chapter)
    3. Luke 3:2
during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the desert.
Luke 3:1-3 (in Context) Luke 3 (Whole Chapter)
    4. Luke 5:1
[ The Calling of the First Disciples ] One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God,
Luke 5:1-3 (in Context) Luke 5 (Whole Chapter)
    5. Luke 8:11
"This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.
Luke 8:10-12 (in Context) Luke 8 (Whole Chapter)
    6. Luke 11:28
He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."
Luke 11:27-29 (in Context) Luke 11 (Whole Chapter)
    7. John 10:35
If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken—
John 10:34-36 (in Context) John 10 (Whole Chapter)
    8. Acts 4:31
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
Acts 4:30-32 (in Context) Acts 4 (Whole Chapter)
    9. Acts 6:2
So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.
Acts 6:1-3 (in Context) Acts 6 (Whole Chapter)
    10. Acts 6:7
So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.
Acts 6:6-8 (in Context) Acts 6 (Whole Chapter)
    11. Acts 8:14
When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
Acts 8:13-15 (in Context) Acts 8 (Whole Chapter)
    12. Acts 11:1
[ Peter Explains His Actions ] The apostles and the brothers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
Acts 11:1-3 (in Context) Acts 11 (Whole Chapter)
    13. Acts 12:24
But the word of God continued to increase and spread.
Acts 12:23-25 (in Context) Acts 12 (Whole Chapter)
    14. Acts 13:5
When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.
Acts 13:4-6 (in Context) Acts 13 (Whole Chapter)
    15. Acts 13:7
who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God.
Acts 13:6-8 (in Context) Acts 13 (Whole Chapter)

Now as you get frustrated in your search, try and find where scriptures claim inerrancy. Go ahead, I can wait.

    Pease be unto you,
Please comment on the verse in the Bible which states: How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us? Lo, Certainly in Vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. ( Jeremiah 8:8)
Does this verse imply or suggest that the law (old Testament) is in vain, in other words corrupt?
