Pakistan is suffering heavy rain and is flooded.Mr Modi is a quiet deeply religious man.He needs to send in the above. Armed forces are not just for war .They are ideal to assist in humanitarian aid,Pakistan needs humanitarian aid.This is not a question of religion but confirmation we are all members of one human race ( irrespective of religion).

Certainly Pakistan’s climate induced crisis is an opportunity for India to extend the hand of friendship and support to a neighbour in need. I hope they do exactly that, and you’re right; armed services are equipped for humanitarian aid, if their presence is welcomed by the recipients.

India too is under severe floods (Punjab rivers first damage India, then the water goes to Pakistan). Pakistan can manage on its own. They too have a large army and volunteers. But if they make a request, we will certainly send humanitarian aid.
As for Indian military in Pakistan, they would rightly consider it a security risk and never allow it (allowing Indian military in all flood affected areas which include some of their nuclear establishments). We would be glad to help should they invite us.
India has helped Pakistan in various ways in past, for example, with their rail stock. We are after all brothers in blood.

Methinks the problem is: India Pakistan USA Russia Ukraine Germany etc should be nationalistic and proud of their flag country and armed forces. They all are.Lets not make the mistake that these countries should not all be proud to be International at the same time. Look at Germany. When I visited Germans were proud to be German - rightly. They also made a major contribution to the EU and are major international aid donors. Nationalism and Internationalism do not have to be exclusive.
