To me it's basic adaptaion, in which we as humans are born to adapt. We live in fluid (embreonic, sp?) but learn how to live on oxygen the second we are brought into the world.

We adapt to things that are needed to sustain us either as a group by learning to farm, hunt, or do as little as what such like the people that feel the need to not fully adapt. It's hard for me to explain what I am trying to convey. It's sort of like the people that don't want to further adapt and are perfectly happy with their progress, or lack of it and then their are the ones that are never happy with something and do whatever it takes to adapt to gain that happiness. I guess it really depends on how you as the individual see "true happiness" or the need to constanly adapt.
