New Car puja

So we bought our first ever car puja last night. Blessing of keys, tripundra on the dash, special string around the steering wheel, and the running over of limes. It felt good. Many years of safe comfortable driving ahead, with Ganesha's grace.

Yeah, puja for all important new things, house, new daughter-in-law, of course Car, horse, cow. Did they put an Om or Swastika on the hood? Everytime my son buys a new car, they go through this. Superstition if you ask me. One car was stolen within a month of buying, and he had decked it like a new bride.
