you can trigger the response to be closer to christmas by putting the plant in a darkened place and removing it timely

They are lovely aren't they...

We used to have a couple in the UK (they went to a good home). One flowered mid winter the other mid springtime but as it aged it became earlier and earlier until it settled on around mid winter time along with its buddy.
