Misconceptions about Transsexuality

What are some of the most common misconceptions about transsexuals or transgender people that you've encountered?

The one that seems to be most prevalent in my experience is the "they're still really a man/woman", which irks me to no end. I'm no more a woman than I am a garden gnome.

It gets on my nerves when people say that they are "acting" or are "pretending" to be their gender.

That they're always heterosexual (i.e. a transgendered woman would never be attracted to other women, or vice versa). That one's very common.

To be honest, I know more gay trans guys than straight ones!
