This text is a Sethian text found in the Nag Hammadi library and is not included in the Gnostic Bible by Marvin Meyer.
The name Sethian denotes a body of gnostic texts and myths that give prominence to Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve. Because a second divine entity, often named Barbelo, the divine forethought and revealer, also figures in these
texts and myths, heresiologists nicknamed the gnostics who produced them Barbeloites and Barbelognostics, designations still used by modern scholars.
Bentley Layton emphasizes that these religious figures called themselves gnostics, and he refers to their writings as "classic gnostic scriptures." In the sacred texts in Gnostic Bible, the ancient authors refer to spiritually enlightened people like themselves as "the unshakable race of perfect humankind" or "the offspring (or seed) of Seth."-quote from Gnostic Bible by Marvin Meyer

Thanks! Thats cool! The Urantia Book revelation has a great deal to say about the Melchisedek(s), their origins, order and function.

Machiventa Melchizedek

"

THE MACHIVENTA INCARNATION

93:1.1 Revealed truth was threatened with extinction during the millenniums which followed the miscarriage of the Adamic mission on Urantia. Though making progress intellectually, the human races were slowly losing ground spiritually. About 3000 B.C. the concept of God had grown very hazy in the minds of men.

93:1.2 The twelve Melchizedek receivers knew of Michael's impending bestowal on their planet, but they did not know how soon it would occur; therefore they convened in solemn council and petitioned the Most Highs of Edentia that some provision be made for maintaining the light of truth on Urantia. This plea was dismissed with the mandate that "the conduct of affairs on 606 of Satania is fully in the hands of the Melchizedek custodians." The receivers then appealed to the Father Melchizedek for help but only received word that they should continue to uphold truth in the manner of their own election "until the arrival of a bestowal Son," who "would rescue the planetary titles from forfeiture and uncertainty."

93:1.3 And it was in consequence of having been thrown so completely on their own resources that Machiventa Melchizedek, one of the twelve planetary receivers, volunteered to do that which had been done only six times in all the history of Nebadon: to personalize on earth as a temporary man of the realm, to bestow himself as an emergency Son of world ministry. Permission was granted for this adventure by the Salvington authorities, and the actual incarnation of Machiventa Melchizedek was consummated near what was to become the city of Salem, in Palestine. The entire transaction of the materialization of this Melchizedek Son was completed by the planetary receivers with the co-operation of the Life Carriers, certain of the Master Physical Controllers, and other celestial personalities resident on Urantia." Machiventa Melchizedek

Thank you.

It seems that Machiventa Melchizedek describes time before the creation of Adam a.s. and Eve a.s.

In the Bible, Melchizedek (/mɛlˈkɪzədɛk/,[1] Biblical Hebrew: מַלְכִּי־צֶדֶק‎, romanized: malkī-ṣeḏeq, 'king of righteousness' or 'my king is righteousness'), also transliterated Melchisedech or Malki Tzedek, was the king of Salem and priest of El Elyon (often translated as 'most high God'). He is first mentioned in Genesis 14:18–20,[2] where he brings out bread and wine and then blesses Abram and El Elyon.

Aba Sadiq from him is peace revealed that he was the God's proof over Abraham a.s.

Yes! The UB explains that Machiventa was the "visible representative" of God on earth who made the covenant with Abram. Centuries later when the Hebrew priests were writing the account, they found it difficult to believe that Melchizedek was an incarnate celestial being, SO they had God himself coming down to make the agreement directly with Abram. They ignored the principle that "no man can see God and live".

Melchi-Zedek is one of the coolest characters in the Bible .. The Priest and King (PriestKing) of Jerusalem - a Canaanite town who's Patron God is "Zedek, Tzedek" The Twin Gods of Righteousness and Justice .. fitting for a town called "City of Peace" Jerusalem.

At this time in history .. it is normal for King of a city to name himself after the Patron God of the City .. or the Most High God .. which at this point among Everyone in the local region and beyond .. beleives that EL is the Most High - Phonecians - Canaanites - Midianites - Hittites - Amorites .. all the way to the Assyrians and Babylonians .. same guy .. same story .. this is Enlil , (illil Ill, EL) of the creation epic.. the one who sends the flood .. involved in the creation of man .. and so on.

So when this Priest King and Abraham meet .. this High Priest of the Most High .. they ritually share bread and wine .. give praise to the most High .. Abraham submits to the High Priest and gives a 10% Tithe .. to High Priest of the Canaanite Most High God EL ..

The Supreme one shows up by name in Psalm 82 == in this Psalm -- YHWH - one of the 70 sons of El, is addressing the other sons of El at the Divine Council of EL .. the Congregation of EL -- who as head of this council .. is fitting to have these twin aeons of Justice and Righteousness stewarding things along.

YHWH is condemning the other Son's of El saying " I say you are Gods (Elohim) , Sons of the Supreme one (EL - Oliun)"
This is the same epiphet EL Oliun we find in Genesis 14 when Melchi-Zedek is described as a Priest of "EL Oliun" .. the Supreme one.

Now -- 800 years later .. when King David takes Jerusalem .. the name of the Priest King is Adoni-Zedek "My Lord is Justice-Righteousness"

This same priestly order has been maintained .. but does not die here. Unlike the other cities taken by the Israelites .. where everyone is slaughtered .. all the priests and usually the King... The High Priest named ... ... ... Wait for it ... ... ... did you guess the name of the Canaanite/Jebusite HighPriest in Jerusalem when David comes knocking ?

Tick Tick Tick .. Times up ... "ZADOK" .. well fancy that .. this Canaanite High Priest becomes HIgh Priests of the Isrelites .. the one who annoints the Great King Solomon

and Lest we not forget Psalm 110 --- where David is crowned 4) “ A priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”

and lest we not forget about Jesus .. who also becomes Hebrews 6: 20 " A High Priest forever, in the order of Melchi-Zedek"

Does it bear stating that this is not the High Priesthood of YHWH we are talking about !?

I have a different stance. As you can see, I posted Sethian text from the Nag Hammadi codex. Seth was a third child of Adam a.s.
Sethians defined and described themselves as gnostics.

What do you think of this passage in the Bible?

Deuteronomy 10:17

For the LORD (YHWH) your God (Elah) is God (El) of gods (Elohim), and Lord (Adonay) of lords, a great God (El Elyon), a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward: KJV

Not sure what you are claiming is a different stance .. the Gnostic Apocryphia you posted does not conflict with the Bible position posted .. nor the now well accepted fact that the God of Abraham was El .. and not YHWH .. even YHWH says this.

That the writers of Deuteronomy ~ 600 BC - are writing at a time where YHWH had usurped the position of EL on earth .. EL however does not disappear .. is still high God in the Heavenly Realm .. the winning Son of God taking over the Earthly Realm .. as described in Psalm 82 . previously given you. Bible Gateway passage: Psalm 82 - New English Translation

God stands in[b] the assembly of El;[c] in the midst of the gods[d] he renders judgment.[e]

  1. Psalm 82:1 sn Psalm 82. The psalmist pictures God standing in the “assembly of El” where he accuses the “gods” of failing to promote justice on earth. God pronounces sentence upon them, announcing that they will die like men. Having witnessed the scene, the psalmist then asks God to establish his just rule over the earth.
  2. Psalm 82:1 tn The phrase עֲדַת אֵל (ʿadat ʾel, “assembly of El”) appears only here in the OT. (1) Some understand “El” to refer to God himself. In this case he is pictured presiding over his own heavenly assembly. (2) Others take אֵל as a superlative here (“God stands in the great assembly”), as in Pss 36:6 and 80:10. (3) The present translation assumes this is a reference to the Canaanite high god El, who presided over the Canaanite divine assembly. (See Isa 14:13, where El’s assembly is called “the stars of El.”) In the Ugaritic myths the phrase ʿdt ʾilm refers to the “assembly of the gods,” who congregate in King Kirtu’s house, where Baal asks El to bless Kirtu’s house (see G. R. Driver, Canaanite Myths and Legends, 91). If the Canaanite divine assembly is referred to here in Ps 82:1, then the psalm must be understood as a bold polemic against Canaanite religion. Israel’s God invades El’s assembly, denounces its gods as failing to uphold justice, and announces their coming demise.
Check out the footnotes in a modern Bible ..

There is a huge difference between what the Israelites believed - or what Abe and the Patriarchs believed -- and the Post Exhilic writers .. or those writing just prior to the Babylonians wiping out Judah and destroying the temple.

Caananaties were known to be polytheists. If you want to find out what my beliefs are concerning the names of God and connection between YHWH and the Holy Household of Muhammad peace be upon them all please watch the attached video by Aba Sadiq from him is peace. I will refer the points I make from this video if you want to debate further. You can also read door 36 of the Goal of the wise if you want to find out the truth

In Judaism, when Moses (PBUH) asked God what His name is, and what he should call God
when the people ask him, God simply responds to Moses (PBUH) by saying: “ I AM THAT I AM”
( Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh) ; and He said, “Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel: ‘I AM (Ehyeh)
hath sent me unto you.’ ” 1 Jewish traditions mention that to pronounce or write the true name of
God is utterly prohibited and they even state: “ He who pronounces the Name with its own letters has
n o p art i n t he w orld t o c ome!” 2 When r eferring to “ the name” t he term HaShem ( השם , h šm) , which
means “The (Greater) Name” is used. It is only within Shia Islam and Judaism that we have these
two names that are abbreviated to four letters and forbidden to be pronounced.
