Matthew 25:31 Jesus as king, and the necessary authority, before the crucifixion or resurrection

Matthew 25:31

Aside from kingdom, [another argument,
Jesus as king cannot mean merely a relegation of power, bestowed upon a average or even 'normal' person. This relegation necessitates literal 'powers of the kingdom', which defines itself.

There is no mention of a mere mortal having this power, or the possibility of such.

Note that jesus is king

Before the crucifixion, or resurrection. Jesus is

Already recognized as the king.

Matthew 25:34

Is already referring to Jesus.

Not sure what you are getting at.
The Old Testament Messiah is presented as TWO figures -
redeemer and worldly king. Zechariah links these two when
he twice writes of this conquering king being the one who
rode upon the ***, and who's hands and feet were pierced.

So Jesus is not a worldly king. But spiritually he is king and
Lord to those who love and obey him. The bible states he
will return as king to reign over those who never accepted
him a Lord and redeemer.
