looking for a good book

i am looking for a book and i am hoping someone can direct me to a good one.

from the days of sumer up to the bible would be helpful. what i am looking for in paticular is king lists, rites, and rituals, and or folklore about the gods and man.

I don't know if you still need this or not but I am reading The Sumerians by Samuel Noah Kramer and it is probably what you want. I'm in chapter 2 right now and it is listing the known kings and what they did. I hope this helps.
